The House settlement will not incent college sports fans to tune out. In 2021 when the NCAA, at the point of a gun, allowed college athletes to market their Name, Image, and Likeness, viewership of college sports did not drop off. Instead, viewership of money-making football and basketball increased as did viewership of Women's sports. College athletes earning their market value did not destroy fan interest. But we'll keep watching. This article has been posted on another thread but in light of the changes coming from the House settlement, this NY Times article IMO deserves a thread of its own.
