HDuck Author No. 2 Share Posted September 14 To make the 2024 and 2025 games work, Oregon had to rewrite its three-game contract with Boise State. The Ducks were scheduled to play the Broncos in Eugene in 2024 and 2026, and at Boise State in 2025. The 2025 game was dropped to accommodate the OSU series. In addition, Oregon had to buy its way out of a game against Hawaii. It cost Oregon an additional $2.8 million to change the deals in order to play the Oregon State games in 2024 and 2025. Ducks play nine conference games and three nonconference games. Oregon already has a full slate of nonconference games for 2026, 2027 and 2028: 2026: Boise State, at Oklahoma State, Portland State. 2027: Eastern Washington, at Baylor, Utah State 2028: North Dakota State, Baylor, at Utah State For 2026, the obvious game to move or buy out is Portland State. But, a nonconference schedule of Boise State, Oklahoma State and Oregon State is a tough ask. Moreover, the Ducks would be looking at playing two nonconference road games in 2026 or 2027 if they play the Beavers. More at that link.
David Marsh No. 3 Share Posted September 14 I think 24 and 25 was very generous of Oregon to buy out their opponents to make room. But until our schedule opens up it feels like a pretty big ask to break all those contracts.
