Posted October 18, 2024Oct 18 I’m 22 years old and have been a diehard Ducks fans since 9 years old. I’ve witnessed heartbreak after heartbreak. I cried after Stanford. Sick after the National Championship L to Ohio State. Crushed after Washington. The list of pain goes on and on and on. So many times as an Oregon fan, I felt like we werethisclose only to have my dreams of a national championship shattered. But this year feels different. Coach Dan Lanning eschewing Ala-freakin-bama because he wanted to win a National Championship in Eugene. Dillon Gabriel coming to UO for one last ride, one last shot at a title. All the talent that has been acquired via high school and the transfer portal coming together and meshing at the perfect time. Oregon is legit. They can beat anyone in the country. They proved that when they took down mighty Ohio State. Now they have to stay focused. Poised. Everything is ahead of them. Hey, maybe this season ends in another heart break. But then again…maybe it doesn’t. And all our dreams of a National Championship come true. One thing’s for sure, I’ll be watching every step of the way. Go Ducks!
