Charles Fischer Administrator No. 1 Share Posted November 17 MBBall is at MKA and at halftime the Ducks lead by 15 points, 38-23, which is nice considering that Troy returns all 12 players from last year, and has stretched teams like Arkansas already this season. This time Oregon did not come out flat, but tough on defense at zoomed to a 12-1 lead. Players are starting to groove together better, and it is great to see Keeshawn Barthelemy get going and explode for a first half of 13 points with 3-3 from three-point line. A surprising change in the starting line-up was replacing Kwame Evans with "Bam" Tracey, as Evans will disappear in games, and Tracey was rewarded for his badly needed 19 points and defense that helped save the day versus Portland last week. Mookie Cook got in for his first minutes, as did Supreme Cook....and wow. He is a monster on the boards with four RBs in a short stint and six points as he gets open and teammates are getting the ball to him for slams. Yes, the game is on B1G+, and the male sportscaster is young and boring with his monotone. He must think it is "professional" to not have any life in his voice, as it seems he goes out of his way to speak in such a flat fashion. The color analyst is Deja Kelly, the new Oregon womens basketball star! I did not know all the All-ACC accolades she had, and thus why Oregon is off to a great start 4-0) on the womens side. What do you want to bet that she wants to get into broadcasting, and this gig might have been part of the NIL deal? If so, it was a smart move by all parties as I think she has added wisdom to the broadcast from the start. From before her transfer... 1 1 Mr. FishDuck
30Duck Moderator No. 2 Share Posted November 17 This all sounds great, Charles! Deja starring everywhere and Supreme off to great start. By all accounts Troy is better than Portland State, so very good to see the Ducks coming out strong.
Sandy Rocks No. 3 Share Posted November 17 I was frustrated. I wanted to watch the game. I know a lot of the preseason games are often not televised or will there be a fall off on that. I really enjoy the games. I have Dish with the Big channel but not plus. Sounds like they are doing well. Good to hear about Mookie, he hardly got to play last year. I really wanted to see him play. Supreme Cook must have been added late, I looked at the line up awhile back and he wasn't on it.
Charles Fischer Author Administrator No. 4 Share Posted November 18 Good gosh the experienced talent on this squad is amazing! GREAT to see Supreme Cook, as he is a final piece that will mean everything for this team. Nice that Mookie Cook got some time and five points along with 12 by Bittle. Nate has a sweet baby-hook finish that he scored often on, but I still don't like to see him leave the paint. We have ENOUGH three points shooters...get it to them! Geez Brandon Angel is such a smooth scorer; anyone can get hot on this team! Before he transferred... 1 Mr. FishDuck

If you like to watch Softball, WBBall and other sports...I think many will be on the B1G+ site, and thus the $8.50 per month might be worth it. 30Duck Moderator No. 6 Share Posted November 18 7-22 from 3, still not good, and 17 TO's is too many, but this is what the early season is for. A Ducks basketball team with depth is something we haven't had for a long time.

It is 89 dollars a year for the BIG10 plus, an internet app.
