Home Playoff Game Will Be Without Student Section

Recommended Posts

According to the University of Oregon academic calendar the students will be on Winter break from 14 December-05 January. This means they won't be around for a home playoff game. I'm guessing their tickets would go for sale on the open market which means we could see massive amounts of opposing fans in Autzen.

Oregon either has to win the CCG tomorrow night or hope for ASU or Boise in the first round. If a SEC team comes to Eugene it will look like the Tennessee game from 2013 when they filled about 35% of the stadium. If I know Southerners like I think I do, they will mortgage their houses and live off of Dollar General food for a year to pay for a trip to Oregon see their team play.

I was at that game against Tennessee and I think there were almost as many of their fans in their hospitality area as there were inside Autzen not to mention how great those fans were. Very enjoyable game for my wife and I.

I hope the students that are staying in town have a way of getting tickets at a reduced rate, it would really suck if the university just says to them "oh well, sucks to be you"

I guarantee they would not just flood these tickets to the open market for the opposing team to pick up. There will be plenty of students that stick around for this game if the Ducks happen to have a home game.
