Fitnessczar No. 1 Share Posted December 8 Here's mine. And for those in the previous conversation. You can switch Boose St and Arizona St. And I wouldn't be mad. Just don't think the win today moves them from 16 ranking to 10. And Boise St was already at 10 in rankings. Not seeding due to automatic champion bids. A conversation for another thread. 1.Oregon 2. Georgia SEC champ and beat previous #2 for second time 3. Boise St 4. Arizona St 5. Notre Dame 6. Ohio St 7. Penn St 8. Texas 9. Tennessee 10. Indiana 11. Clemson 12. SMU This seeding has no teams playing a team they played during the season in the first round. How would you seed it different and why?
mikethehiker No. 2 Share Posted December 8 I think your take is as good an argument as anyone could make. Texas losing really throws a wrench into the bracket. How much can you penalize three close losers in their conference championship games? What do you do with Notre Dame whose best win is against Texas A&M 3.5 months ago and easily has the worst loss? What do you do with Penn St. which played us and Ohio St. very tough but their best win against Illinois is our fourth best win? What do you do with Indiana whose best win against Michigan is our fifth best win? Could they slide down to 11 or 12? Ranking Texas, Penn St., Ohio St., and Notre Dame 5-8 is anyone’s guess at this point and no answer is wrong based on whatever unwritten rules we’re using. But the implications are massive for second round matchups.
Solar No. 3 Share Posted December 8 Are we saying how we'd put it, or how we think the committee will put it? If I'm following the bracket rules and want the best 12 teams for the playoffs it would be: Oregon Georgia Arizona State Boise State Ohio State Penn State Texas Notre Dame Tennessee Indiana South Carolina Clemson I feel that 5-8 are interchangeable, as well as 9-12. BSU and ASU would be in that 9-12 tier, but for the seeding. What I think we'll get in a half hour from the committee is: Oregon Georgia BSU ASU Texas Notre Dame Penn State Ohio State Tennessee Indiana Alabama Clemson
