The Michigan running back pictured playing in the Rose Bowl, Bob Chappius, was an All-American at Michigan and my Uncle Harvey's roommate. Both men returned to Michigan after seeing combat in WW2. My Uncle Harvey Jones was the captain of the Michigan golf team.
