Joel Klatt's Rose Bowl preview starts around the 25:55 mark.

I love his idea of ending every season with the national championship game in the Rose Bowl on January 1st and then opening up the transfer portal. It is the most spectacular setting for a post season college football game and a national treasure of a tradition.

No. 1 Oregon Ducks close as underdogs to No. 8 Ohio State Buckeyes in Rose Bowl

While this game at the Rose Bowl will take place on a neutral field, the Ducks will have a solid advantage in terms of proximity for fans to travel. It feels like we can expect a fan-split of about 60-40, in favor of the Ducks to start.

This is a classic matchup of “momentum” vs. “rest.” The Buckeyes are coming off of arguably their best game of the year in a blowout over Tennessee in the first round of the playoff, and they’re riding high going into the Rose Bowl. Meanwhile, the Ducks have been able to rest and recuperate over the past three weeks, using the time to get as healthy as they have been all season, and prepare for Ohio State.

Dillon Gabriel's mentorship has Dante Moore poised to be next great Oregon QB

"It's something you ain't seen yet," said Johnson, who also recalled moments when Moore zinged side-arm passes between the heads of Oregon's offensive linemen. "That guy can throw a ball like no other. I ain't never seen nothing like it. He's so ready. He's so ready to play. ... You can go ask anybody about Dante Moore and how he throws the football and watch what they say. The guy is talented."

Rose Bowl: Oregon's Dillon Gabriel on record-breaking journey

The vibe king of college football is in his natural element. He's leaning forward in his chair inside Oregon's quarterback room, fresh out of a Tuesday morning practice with the No. 1 team in the country. Dillon Gabriel feels right at home in this space as he picks through a takeout box of crispy chicken, beef teriyaki, rice and macaroni salad.

"It's everything I thought it would be and more, honestly," Gabriel said of his season with the Ducks.
