It has been the subject of some podcasts.

 

I bet Dan knew the rule.

 

It seems a blocked FG that bounces and still goes through the uprights is good.

 

ASU screwed twice by refs who don't know the rules.

As far as I know, if the ball goes through the uprights, however it gets there, it's good. The one caveat to that is if it hits the ground first, which apparently was the case here.
