Good gosh, they were at a tournament to start the season this weekend and below are the scores..

21-1 over Buffalo

18-6 over Southern Utah

16-2 over Southern Utah

10-6 over UNLV

8-1 over Buffalo

A great start for the No. 23 Ducks, and expect they will do well in the B1G!

I'm going to write something similar in the baseball thread, but while we may have a better record in softball, the league isn't going to prepare us very well against playing the best teams.  If there is one sport where the B1G really does lag behind the rest of the nation it's softball and baseball.

What is coming into the B1G from the Pac-12 is Oregon, Washington, (really tough) USC and UCLA?  The former Pac-12 teams will dominate Softball in the B1G.

I expect nearly the same with the Baseball teams, as Oregon is the highest ranked preseason from the B1G at No. 12 and the only other is Nebraska at No. 24.  I expect USC will be ranked later...

Yes, in softball the former Pac teams should dominate.

Baseball we could really use UCLA becoming a power again, USC hasn't been relevant in a while amazingly with their history.

USC hired a new coach who has turned it around in just a year, as last year we were lucky to win the series with them.  They won 31 games and just missed being the NCAA Playoff.  I expect they will be better this year, and as for UCLA...it depends upon their injury situation again.

Oregon has some VERY interesting new players brought in, and I will do a review of the team later this week.  This could be a VERY good year for our Diamond Ducks!

Is that a great photo or what?

Smith leaving still stings, it was blatantly for money, Texas gave him more $$$ that Oregon was going to, and several players went with him, I will always want Texas to lose. Lombardi struggled early just getting a team and has now got one that looks to be headed toward great success. "The Jane" rocked during the great softball years, several of the players are all time faves. Go Ducks!
