NJDuck Author Moderator No. 5 Share Posted Wednesday at 06:18 PM Latest Intel From Another Big Visit Weekend, Oregon Spring Game This Week On the latest episode of the Ducks Dish Podcast, ScoopDuck’s Max Torres and Justin Hopkins dive into the latest Oregon recruiting intel from another big visit weekend in Eugene. Some of the top recruits discussed include 4-star cornerback Davon Benjamin, 4-star safety Jireh Edwards, 4-star safety Jett Washington and 5-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell. Benjamin has been arguably Oregon’s top defensive back target in the 2026 recruiting class for well over a year. He returned to Eugene for an important visit as the Ducks battle USC for one of the best in Southern California. The Ducks have always been high on Benjamin’s list, but he doesn’t look like he’s anywhere near making a commitment. Edwards has been another top priority in the secondary despite being all the way on the other side of the country in Baltimore. It seems like he’s gaining some more clarity in his recruitment and Oregon will have a seat at the table all the way until that recruitment wraps up. Washington is another recruit that’s taking his time. It was his first trip to Eugene since the Ohio State game in the fall and Oregon appears to be separating themselves from the pack and near the top with one other school. Chris Hampton was one of the best recruiters in the country last cycle and he plans to sign another elite haul in 2026. Cantwell returns to Eugene this weekend for his official visit with the Ducks. This is significant because he had previously made it sound like he was finished taking trips and was strictly in decision mode. Oregon is battling Georgia and Miami as On3’s No. 1 player in the country looks for his new home. Will the Missouri connection with head coach Dan Lanning push Oregon over the top? We’ll have to wait and see. NJDuck Author Moderator No. 11 Share Posted 10 hours ago This pass catcher stood out above everyone else in Oregon's spring game Oregon has recruited and developed an embarassment of riches between the wide receiver and tight end positions. In the spring game on April 26, many flashed their abilities to help out whichever quarterback takes the reins of Will Stein's offense. Although true freshman and highest rated Oregon receiver ever, Dakorien Moore flashed some brilliant ability, and redshirt freshman Dillon Gresham, who seemed buried down the depth chart exploded for three catches and over ninety yards, someone still shined the brightest. The heir apparent to Terrance Ferguson, tight end Kenyon Sadiq, was the most impressive pass catcher for the Ducks during the spring game. He had seven catches for 102 yards. NJDuck Author Moderator No. 16 Share Posted 6 hours ago Major takeaways from Oregon football spring game as Ducks showcase new-look roster It was a fun afternoon in Eugene, as Oregon Duck fans gathered in Autzen Stadium as the sun broke through the crowds and watched as Dan Lanning's new-look roster took the field for the annual spring game. While a program record number of players were being selected in the 2025 NFL draft, the guys in Eugene showcased what they had been working on all offseason. It was a fun day for the Ducks, with the defense largely dominating the scrimmage, except for a handful of shot plays from the offense. The final scoreboard will read 24-20, Fighting Ducks, but the most important number to note was the 11 sacks from the combined defenses, along with a defensive touchdown. NJDuck Author Moderator No. 18 Share Posted 5 hours ago Gage Hurych ups the game in place kicking competition, punting a spring game flop Redshirt freshman place kicker Gage Hurych connected on two long field goals. The team's punting was not up to par though. According to special teams coordinator Joe Lorig, senior place kicker Atticus Sappington aims to handle all of Oregon's field goals this fall. If Saturday's spring game is any indication, he's got some serious competition. Redshirt freshman Gage Hurych wasn't a factor in last season's place kicking rotation, but makes from 47 and 54 yards on Saturday indicate he might be Sappington's top rival this year. "There's a competition in every position," Oregon coach Dan Lanning said after Saturday's spring game. "Atticus has been really good for us and done a good job, but Gage is a guy that we are really excited for in the future. He's done a really good job. We've always felt like he was going to be a really good player, and certainly, stepping up in those moments today were big pieces of that." https://247sports.com/college/oregon/article/gage-hurych-oregon-ducks-football-punting-249353471/
