spartan2785 No. 7 Share Posted 6 hours ago If I'm honest I think that's the deserved result, there is no way that the second Oregon run should have been scored, I don't care if that's the way the rule is laid out, in no way should that be obstruction. The rule should be changed, it basically encourages teams to make boneheaded running decisions since it's just natural to put your foot on the corner of the plate. It's one thing to put your foot there not allow a runner to slide into home when you are still in the process of making the catch, it's another when the ball beats the runner by a mile. I know this all came out of the Buster Posey injury, but it's gotten ridiculous at this point. The announcers were Bruin Blue all game, and when the analyst said she thought, "that unfortunately the call would be reversed" in Oregon's favor, I could only shake my head.
