Charles Fischer Administrator No. 1 Share Posted 5 hours ago Amari Harper Headed to Oregon EUGENE, Ore. – Amari Harper, an All-SEC second team player on a Texas A&M team that earned the No. 1 overall seed to the 2025 NCAA Tournament, is transferring to Oregon, coach Melyssa Lombardi announced Thursday. She will be a senior in 2026. Harper had a career year in 2025 when she hit .421 in 51 games with 11 doubles, eight home runs, 51 RBI, a .698 slugging percentage and a .536 on-base percentage. In 154 career games at Texas A&M, Harper hit .364 with 22 doubles, nine home runs and 85 RBI. She started 45 games for the Aggies’ 2024 NCAA Super Regional team. A native of Corona, Calif., Harper was named to the all-SEC second team in 2025, as well as the NFCA All-South Region third team as a freshman in 2023. She was ranked as the No. 18 prospect nationally by Extra Inning Softball her senior season at Santiago High School. “Amari is proven, left-handed hitter out of one of the best conferences in the country,” said Lombardi. “She possesses the ability to clutch up and deliver in tough situations. She’s a very disciplined hitter. She has power; she can hit for average – she can do it all.
