The Athletic named a couple of candidates to replace him with the 'Vols, and the first one was the Assistant HC, and then Waz. Below is what was written about them.

Few have built more consistent winners. Since taking over in 2020, Wasikowski has led Oregon to five straight NCAA Tournaments and back-to-back super regional appearances. His Ducks went 42-16 this season with a 22-8 mark in the Big Ten. A former Purdue head coach and Florida and Arizona assistant, Wasikowski is known for fast turnarounds and strong player development, and could bring an immediate national profile.

A TCU alum and former Arkansas assistant, Elander has been central to Tennessee’s recruiting surge and clubhouse culture, and would provide continuity at a time of transition.
