Oregon football has added Western Kentucky to its 2027 nonconference schedule, setting up a first-ever meeting at Autzen Stadium on Sept. 18, 2027

The matchup with Western Kentucky is set for Saturday, Sept. 18, 2027, at Autzen Stadium and will mark the first-ever meeting between Oregon and Western Kentucky on the football field. With the addition of the Hilltoppers, Oregon's 2027 nonconference schedule now includes a home game against Eastern Washington, a road trip to Baylor, and the newly announced home date with Western Kentucky.

For Oregon, the scheduling move continues a familiar balancing act. The Ducks have paired a Power Four road game at Baylor with two home contests, giving them a mix of challenge and flexibility before Big Ten play begins.

Thanks, NJ.

2027? Only six home games. W. Kentucky, E. Washington, Purdue, Iowa, Penn State, and Ohio State. This is not good scheduling.

Six road games. Baylor, Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, UCLA, and UW.

This will be one of the most difficult schedules in the nation, with Dylan Raiola projected as the new QB and wholesale changes on defense.

A P4 game on the road is not necessary. The B1G schedule will meet any strength-of-schedule test. I'd buy out Baylor. Or, perhaps both sides might agree to cancel the series? Add a home game with a decent G6 team like UNLV, Fresno State, or San Diego State.

With today's PO format, an out-of-conference game vs. a P4 opponent is not worth the candle. A road game in Waco is a no-win proposition for Oregon. A win is expected, and an early loss with the conference schedule could be PO-ruinous.

Give Raiola or whoever is behind center three home games to get ready. These games against B12 teams are the result of Rob serving on the PO CT. with B12 ADs.

Texas Tech and Oregon are scheduled to play a H+H series beginning in 2033. Unnecessary! No matter the opponent, both programs will sellout their home stadium.

A home game is worth $5 to $7 million to Lane County and the County's small business owners, and saves $350,000 to $500,000 in travel costs.

Waco? Why help out Chip and Joanna? These two have more than enough B1G reveals. 😁
