30Duck No. 2 Share Posted January 10, 2021 The last time the Lady Ducks lost 3 conference games in a row was in 2016-17. After dropping consecutive tough games to outstanding teams, UCLA & Stanford, they get California, 0-5 in Pac-12 play. Cal's game against Oregon State was postponed. In their last game, Cal lost to Arizona, 69-33.

Guest No. 4 Share Posted January 10, 2021 So, on the tough side UO gets a fresh, rested, and well prepared Cal opponent (just like UCLA game) while Duckettes are licking their multiple bruises from a hard road contest. We'll doubtlessly get their best shot and will need all our depth to grind through this game. Also, having watched both losses multiple times, it seems to me that poor Nyra Sabally is getting the hack-a-Shaq treatment from the refs, while the UCLA & Stanford 'stars' are getting the Michael Jordan treatment of calling a foul any time you touch them. Plus, our opponents seem to repeatedly initiate contact on a drive and then flop to the floor writhing in agony while Jaz Shelly or Taylor Chavez are looking at them like "What's your deal?". I was referring to the Stanford guards as Flopsie and Plopsie by the end of that broadcast. And, if you haven't noticed: Shelly, Paopao, Dugalic, etc. are getting knocked on their kiesters regularly but almost always spring back up like dogs after a squirrel - even Giomi goes down fairly often, and then unfolds herself like some high speed Transformer and pops right back up. If you watch these games, notice that difference. Graves & staff have this team offering no quarter to opponents, and it's a blast to watch.
