30Duck No. 1 Share Posted January 20, 2021 He's retiring, after playing his final season as an Indianapolis Colt. But if he gets in it will be as a Charger. The Hall's of Fame have all gone a bit wonky as far as I'm concerned, baseball in particular. Rivers is an interesting case.
BigDucksFan No. 2 Share Posted January 20, 2021 Although Rivers played for the Chargers for FOREVER, I can't remember him winning any Supper Bowl games. A few playoff games but never all the way. A good player but not a "Great" player. You don't want to turn the "Hall of Fame" into a place for regular Joe's. It should be reserved for exceptional players. It should be reserved for exceptional players. The QB position gets too much credit for wins and too much for losses. Rivers played for the Chargers, a franchise that has never won the Super Bowl. It wouldn't be hard to imagine him playing in the Super Bowl or winning one had he played for a better team. He's a very good QB. A Hall of Famer? That's debatable. He's a better QB than Eli Manning IMO and he won two Super Bowls. Edited January 20, 2021 by ptdduck
