ICamel No. 1 Share Posted May 6, 2022 The first game of a three game series. Yes, I know they have played the previous two Tuesday's! Those games didn't count in the Pac11(Colorado doesn't field a baseball squad) standings, but do count in the overall win/loss column. Confused yet? Last year Oregon took two of three games in Corvallis while sweeping the buck tooth varmints in Eugene. Beavis will be looking for revenge. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05PM at Goss Stadium in Corvallis. Possible thunderstorms are in the forecast, so let's hope the booms come from Duck bats! Guest Axel No. 2 Share Posted May 6, 2022 Oregon plays the Beavers at Goose Stadium tonight, and we do appreciate it that Corvallis College named its baseball park after another majestic member of the avian family, as an homage to Our Beloved Ducks. Whenever any Ducks athletic team graces Corvallis, it's like royalty visiting and the average I.Q. of the town jumps 50 points; however, the vast majority of Corvallosers will not be attending tonight's baseball game. So what else is there to do in Corvallis? We’re glad you asked, because here we go with... The Top 10 things to do in Corvallis on a Friday night 10. Throw rocks at things 9. Find a patch of grass and watch it grow 8. Do as the locals do and give piddling in the river a try 7. Throw more rocks at more things 6. Go back to the riverbank and try to squeeze out a few more drops 5. Run from the police because you were throwing rocks at things 4. Power down a quart of malt liquor and head back to the river 3. What the hell—pick up a rock and throw it at something 2. Try to avoid the one car rolling around town 1. Spend the night in the hospital because you were unable to avoid the one car rolling around town

ICamel Author No. 4 Share Posted May 7, 2022 Start of the game is currently in "rain delay", which is ironic considering ducks live mostly on the water and beavers live mostly in the water.
ICamel Author No. 5 Share Posted May 7, 2022 "Possible" 8:15PM start of game. I have been monitoring weather radar, and it looks like this rain front has another half hour before it moves off to the east.

From now on, all Pac-12 baseball games must be played at Autzen Stadium. The dimensions will be a little goofy--the left field fence will only be 140 feet away and in right field, home runs will need to travel 825 feet. A small price to pay for forever, rain-free baseball.
