Yes, Caleb Williams is an upgrade at quarterback and I love all the new weapons, especially Biletnikoff Award winner Jordan Addison and Oregon leading rusher Travis Dye. But Williams struggled against top-70 defenses, beginning with when he took over against Texas. He finished with 21 TD passes — but 17 came against weaker defense. He had a 4-3 TD/INT ratio and absorbed 4+ sacks per game against top-70 defenses. It is probably reflective of Lincoln Riley as well. He did well against most teams...until he ran into really good defenses like Baylor.
