Pennsylvania Duck Author Moderator No. 22 Share Posted November 22, 2022 Ducks struggle to the finish line in 12-point win over Southern Utah The Ducks started both halves with quality play, outscoring the visiting Southern Utah Thunderbirds 48-23 during the first and third quarters. Yet, an inability to finish shots at the rim and then defend the paint on the other end in the second and fourth kept the game relative close. Oregon led by 26 to start the fourth but held on to win 66-54 on Monday evening at Matthew Knight Arena. The game's conclusion wasn't an encouraging start to the week with two stiff challenges awaiting them later in the week. The Ducks will play two games in Portland this week in the PK85 Invitational. It’s a good thing Oregon built up a good lead because the fourth quarter wasn’t a pretty one for the home team. Southern Utah claimed a 21-7 advantage for the remaining 10 minutes of the game, which won’t make Graves too happy.
