Pennsylvania Duck Author Moderator No. 2 Share Posted December 16, 2022 Dan Lanning calls Will Stein 'a perfect fit' as Oregon's offensive coordinator Lanning, who had not spoken publicly since Stein's hiring earlier this month, described the process of determining the next OC as "really thorough" and "really detailed". Past hires have been reached in part thanks to prior relationships between head coach and prospective new staffer. However, Lanning and Stein have no previous relationship. Lanning never allowed that to become an obstacle though. Mic No. 3 Share Posted December 17, 2022 On 12/16/2022 at 2:15 PM, Pennsylvania Duck said: Dan Lanning: "It's the name of the game." Well, this ought to be interesting: at the 3:19 mark (3:19-3:27) Dan was asked who would be putting together the Offensive game plan now that Dillingham's gone. And, of course, he calls out Coach Mehringer (TE's) Coach Adams (WR's) and the "rest of the Offensive "staff". No surprise there but it ought to be interesting to see how it varies in different game situations from Dillingham's calls. I'm wondering (and hoping) Mehringer and Adams will have a little different approach to things from what we saw the last three games. It also doesn't sound like Will Stein will be having much input. Also interesting but not unexpected.
