Oregon won last year 96-71 at Matthew Knight Arena. Portland this year is much improved under second-year head coach Shantay Legans. The Pilots return a majority of its roster from last year and have played their opponents tough. The Pilots almost upset then-No. 1 North Carolina, beat Villanova by 12 and lost by one to then-No. 12 Michigan State at the PK85.
