Kennedy Basham suffered PCL tear, excited to contribute in return

Oregon freshman Kennedy Basham suffered a PCL tear during the team's season-opening

win over Northwestern on Nov. 7, she told reporters on Wednesday afternoon.

The 6-foot-7 center was forced to miss nearly two months of court time with the right knee injury before

making her return on Sunday. She scored two points in nine minutes of play in the team's 73-45 win over USC.

Oregon women’s basketball hoping injured guard Ahlise Hurst can play at Arizona

Hurst injured her lower left leg during UO’s loss to UCLA on Friday and didn’t play against USC on Sunday,

when she wore a walking boot while on the bench.

“It’s up to the trainer,” Graves said. “We’re hoping so. If she does go, it’ll probably be Sunday and in a limited role.”

Taya Hanson shooting the ball better than ever, as she readies to play former school

The fifth-year senior guard was a career 30.3 percent three-point shooter over four productive seasons at Arizona State.

She led the Sun Devils in scoring in 2020-21 with 12.6 points per game while shooting a career-best 34.4 percent from deep.

That number fell below 30 percent last season before she left Tempe to play her final season in Eugene.

With the Ducks, Hanson has become a deadeye. She's currently seventh among Pac-12 players with a 44.7 three-point shooting clip. That figure is nearly 15 percentage points better than her career shooting percentage at ASU and 10 percentage points better than her previous best shooting season.

Basham is big addition considering we don't have much size on the bench, I'm not sure how much she'll contribute, but it's huge that they have the option to continue to have a big in the middle of the floor.

No. 18 Oregon opens Pac-12 road play at Arizona State on Friday

The 18th ranked Ducks open conference life on the road on Friday evening when they face Arizona State in Tempe. Oregon (11-3, 2-1) rebounded from consecutive losses to blast USC by 28 points on Sunday and will look to carry that momentum into just their second true road game of the season.

The Sun Devils (7-7, 0-3) will be playing their first home game in Pac-12 play after dropping contests at Arizona, California and Stanford to open conference play with three losses. Arizona State is one of three Pac-12 schools with fewer than 10 wins and one of two without a Pac-12 victory.

Big game against Arizona next up

I hate that Arizona team and their coach, whiney, always fouling, it's never their fault when they lose, just a very frustrating team to go against.  Oregon really needs to establish themselves as one of the teams to beat with a road win, we already dropped one at home, now we need to pick one up on the road...

Ducks pounce on Sun Devils in third quarter and run to first Pac-12 road win

Sloppy ball handling, poor defensive rotations and foul trouble kept the Ducks from pulling away from the Sun Devils in the first half. But, a 27-4 run that spanned both halves, and included a 19-4 start to the third quarter, sent the Ducks off and running to a 82-62 win over the Sun Devils.

The victory is Oregon's first in Tempe since March of 2019. The Ducks had lost their last two outings in that arena.

The win moves the Ducks to 12-3 this season and 3-1 in Pac-12 play.

Ducks Get A Dub In The Desert

Oregon blew Friday's game open in the second half to beat Arizona State, 82-62.

"First half, we were a little sluggish and our shot selection wasn't great, continuity wasn't good," UO coach Kelly Graves said.

"And we sure as hell didn't shoot very well. But second half, it was more of the way we like to play."
