Pennsylvania Duck Moderator No. 1 Share Posted January 10 During the football season, podcasts were included with the game for that week. Podcasts still are taking place, just not as often. I also have noticed that the podcasts now are covering more than just football. For instance, the one following includes some talk about basketball. Those podcasts will now be posted under this thread as they occur. Also, older podcasts will be deleted as we will keep the thread to no more than 50 podcasts at a time. NJDuck Moderator No. 43 Share Posted May 10 Oregon Football's defense needs to be much better--but how much exactl... Oregon Football's defense showed a lot of promise in the 2023 Spring Game with personnel that are vastly different from a season ago at key positions like EDGE. Improvement is expected, but how much is really possible come this Fall? On today's episode of Locked On Ducks, Spencer McLaughlin discusses Dan Lanning and Tosh Lupoi's defense and what the expectations should be. One game from last year might provide some hope that the defense could be good enough to overcome a shaky backup QB situation. Spencer also responds to listener questions sent into the show, including one today about a singular game whose outcome Oregon fans would most like to have reasonably see changed. 2 games stand out from 2022, but there are other ones in the past that stand out even more. NJDuck Moderator No. 48 Share Posted May 21 Transfer portal insider Chris Hummer high on Oregon's use of portal in 2023 Transfer portal insider Chris Hummer joined the Autzen Audibles podcast on Thursday to discuss Oregon's transfer portal additions. Oregon reshaped its roster this offseason with over 40 scholarship additions through prep and transfer recruiting. The end result appears to be a revamped roster capable of competing for championships, 247Sports college football writer Chris Hummer believes. "I really like what Oregon has done," Hummer said on Thursday's episode of the Autzen Audibles podcast. "I wrote about this the other day. People think of Dan Lanning as a defensive guy, and he is a defensive guy, obviously, but I think as a roster builder, he has really placed an emphasis on creating game-changing weapons on his offense and the ability to score. We saw that last year with the way the offense performed. "Right now Oregon has a potential Heisman Trophy candidate in Bo Nix. We've seen Oregon be ultra aggressive in putting pieces around him. Whether that be Gary Bryant at wide receiver or taking multiple starters along the offensive line. They've taken pieces at every position on offense, including running back if you go back to last year with Oregon's top two backs being from the transfer portal. "I really like the way Dan Lanning has approached offensive football building. He didn't necessarily have all the pieces he wanted on campus right away so he went and got them via the portal. I think it's going to result in another top 10 offense, which is what you do when you have someone like Bo Nix. He has an open window, and he's trying to take advantage of that."
