Pennsylvania Duck Moderator No. 1 Share Posted January 15, 2023 Traditional high school recruiting most certainly favors the SEC — and, to a lesser extent, the Big Ten and ACC — but the transfer portal has been a Pac-12 party for going on 2 years now. In 247Sports’ transfer rankings, the Pac-12 has more teams ranked in the top 16 than any 2 other conferences combined. Meanwhile, a half-dozen Pac-12 teams — half the conference, in other words — have transfer hauls ranked in the sweet 16. HappyToBeADuck No. 2 Share Posted January 15, 2023 Just a gut feeling but maybe these talented players are finding that the NIL money for starters in the PAC is better than being a 2nd or 3td string back up in the SEC, BIG and ACC. Or for those who are currently starting at their current school find that the late night exposure (on Friday and Saturday night) is better than playing at the same time as 40 or 50 other games. How much National exposure do the BIG, SEC, and ACC teams get that arent named BAMA, Georgia, LSU, Clemson, Michigan, tOSU and soon to be USC? Networks cover the top games. Soon Oregon, Utah and Washington will be dominating West Coast Primetime. Also, outside KW (Utah) the PAC coaching tree is stacked with younger, hipper, relatable coaches. . ...
