One of those 2025 prospects, Jack VanDorselaer, recently showed interest in the Oregon Ducks, when he included them among his top nine schools. VanDorselaer is listed as a wide receiver and tight end hybrid. At 6’5″ and 230 lbs, VanDorselaer would likely be fully a TE in college, but if he were to lose some weight, he could also become a high-point, possession WR for QBs to target over the middle of the field, and at his back shoulder along the sideline. Hill is a major target for the Ducks in the class of 2025. Hill is the No. 178 overall player and the No. 15 EDGE in the class of 2025, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 8 player from the state of Ohio. He attends Winton Woods High School in Cincinnati. Top targets across the country have been taking visits all summer and want to wrap up their recruitments so they can focus on strong senior season. One of those players is Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei running back Nate Frazier, who will announce his decision on August 6 according to Greg Biggins of 247Sports. Ranked the No. 4 running back in the 2024 class by the 247Sports Composite, the 5-foot-11, 208-pound ballcarrier is working from a top eight that features the likes of Oregon, Georgia and Nebraska among others. That hasn’t stopped them from getting off to a blazing hot start on the 2025 class, where they’ve already picked up a handful of blue-chip players and rank among the top schools in the nation. On Monday, the Ducks landed a commitment from 4-star quarterback Akili Smith Jr., the son of Oregon legend Akili Smith, a former Pac-10 Player of the Year and the No. 3 overall pick in the 1999 NFL Draft. The Ducks also have commitments from 4-star WR Dallas Wilson, the No. 24 player in the 2024 class, as well as 4-star WR Adrian Wilson, the No. 163 player in the class. Aug. 1 was the first day that players in the junior class could receive phone calls from college coaches. Bell’s phone began to rang right when the clock hit midnight. Bell has been one of our favorite players in his class since he was a freshman. He’s currently rated the No. 44 prospect in the 247Sports Composite and No. 77 in the Top247. He has been receiving national scholarship offers since middle school, and it didn’t take long for his phone to start ringing. “Junior Adams at Oregon was the first coach who called,” Bell said. “He called right at 12:00 and we had a good conversion. Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon junior athlete Jae'on Young is a two-sport standout and will be one of the most heavily recruited prospects in the West Coast ’25 class. Young is a talented cover corner who had a big sophomore season for one of the state’s top programs. He finished the season with 42 tackles and five interceptions and then went out and had a big year on the track last Spring. He ran six sub 11.0-100m with a personal best of 10.77 and a 21.87-200m. He also ran anchor on the schools 4X100m relay team that qualified for the Masters meet and it will be fun to see what kind of times Young can put up over the next couple of years. Since then, the Oregon Ducks have been snatching up elite cornerbacks and safeties like it’s their job. Going into the 2025 recruiting cycle, the Ducks look to be in a good position to try and land one of the most elite defensive playmakers in the nation, with 5-star CB Devin Sanchez announcing his top 10 schools and keeping Oregon in the mix. Narbonne junior linebacker Mark Iheanachor visited Oregon over the weekend and the Ducks made a strong impression. Iheanachor is one of the top linebackers in the West Coast ’25 class. He’s currently rated the No. 357 player nationally in the 247Sports Composite and a four-star and the No. 26 player in the state by 247Sports. He’s a tough, physical kid with a strong frame and moves really well. He’s a rock solid 6-1.5, 220 pounds and we don't think he's done growing.
