Ducks announce roster breakdown for annual Spring Game on Saturday

We obviously know the players who will be taking the field on Saturday afternoon for the Oregon Ducks’ annual spring game. For the most part, we have a good idea about how much they will be playing, and in what positions they will be playing as well.

We didn’t know what color jerseys they would be wearing, though.

This is always interesting to look through since it can offer a few hints about potential starting players. Are the best receivers on the same team as Bo Nix? What about the starting offensive linemen? Are some of the top defenders going against the best defenders or the best defensive linemen against the best offensive linemen?

We now have the answers to those questions. Here is the complete breakdown of the spring game teams.

This article breaks the teams down by position...It will probably make it easier for you to compare.

Intriguing matchups and major takeaways from Ducks' spring game roster breakdown

The teams have been set, and the matchups have officially been written up on the whiteboard. We officially know how the roster is going to be split up between green and yellow teams for the Oregon Ducks’ annual spring game on Saturday.

While many casual fans might take a glance at the rosters and move along, just getting excited at the prospect of live football, we dove a bit deeper into the information presented.

There are takeaways to be had, and player matchups to think about.

Going through it all, we deciphered what some of the best battles are going to be on Saturday, whether it’s a WR vs. a CB, a DL vs. an OL, or a QB vs. a QB.

Here are some of our biggest takeaways and most anticipated matchups from the Oregon roster release for the spring game.

Bo Nix and the Green team’s offense look dangerous, but Brandon Dorlus and the Yellow defense have the power to shut them down.

10 Ducks we can't wait to watch at Oregon's Spring Game

The Oregon Ducks’ annual spring game has finally arrived. On Saturday afternoon, Dan Lanning and the Ducks will once again take the field at Autzen Stadium with fans in the crowd and the sun shining down.

While it is technically an inter-squad scrimmage, and the results from Saturday don’t mean anything in the long run, we will certainly be looking for a number of takeaways that can be had after watching the performances of certain players.

After the long offseason and the weeks of spring practice that we’ve seen, there are a number of players who have our attention. Be it due to a new face on the roster, a position change, or simply a chance to prove they’re capable of being a productive piece going forward, there are a handful of guys that we will be watching closely on Saturday. Here are the players at the top of my list.
