I wonder how often he kicks with hang time. Lots of line drive bouncers in the middle of the field in his YouTube highlights. I don’t know how to link them. Could he be a situational punter for us?

We all know that stats do not guarantee performance but..... League play only Grinsell 1.81 ERA first in the league Reitz 3.67 ERA 8th Dzierwa 3.69 ERA 9th Iowa has 3 pitchers in the top 15, pretty impressive -
Oregon Baseball Musings: 'Stretch-Run!'
30Duck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Oregon absolutely needs to host a Regional...hopefully instead of Oregon State. Oregon being Mo.2 at the Corvallis regional would be another case of OBD being absolutely screwed in a Playoff. The football was format and Oregon was unlucky enough to be No.1. But if Oregon's season goes the rest of the way as we expect it to, then seeding them No.2, in Corvallis, would be ridiculous. The other parallel of course would be that Coach Lanning said, Coach Was would see this a "great opportunity" and he'd be right. -
Ryan Day Talks Rose Bowl and Championship Game

Everything going right is not unique to the Navy Seals, and everything definitely didn't go right when the Ducks won the first game. But Day can philosophize however he wants. Osu2 played great in the Rose Bowl, for a myriad of reasons, OBD didn't offer any resistance. -

Oregon's RPI has climbed to No. 27, the best all season. Even with that...the Ducks are a Regional No. 2 seed and projected to go to Corvallis--again. Our Quad 1 wins are great, but our Quad 2 & 3 losses are not. A No. 2 Regional seed means that Oregon is NOT in the top 16 in the nation? I hope this lights a fire under the team to go on a winning streak that makes a Regional hosting impossible to deny. PK Park Needs to Host! -

Out doing some early shopping, saw a Beav fan and his son, looked to be around 8. The kid pointed at me and kind of smiled...like maybe he wished there was a transfer portal for fans. Dad, grabbed his arm, not hard or anything, and they went off in another direction. -

Charles Fischer replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I think that is an excellent observation, as an ERA won't always tell the full story. While it is 2.51....if he pitches as he did against those aforementioned two teams--it would help offset the home field advantage! -

MSU website said that Dzierwa is starting game 1 even though the last to series' he was the day 2 starter. Both times he got roughed up a little; Ohio St- 4 inn, 6 hits, 6 runs, 5 er Mich- 6 inn, 10 hits, 6 runs, 3 er He is obviously a good pitcher but are his stats a little inflated by playing lower quality opponents? Plus they have lost 4 in a row and Oregon has won 4, confidence a real big deal in baseball. Go Ducks! -

PODCAST: Zac Neel of DucksWire Joins For Oregon Football Spring Takeaways Oregon’s spring game drew nearly 40,000 fans to Autzen Stadium in Eugene, as we got a closer look at what Dan Lanning and the Ducks have in store for the 2025 college football season. On this episode on the Ducks Dish Podcast, ScoopDuck’s Max Torres sits down with Zac Neel of USA Today’s DucksWire to discuss takeaways from Oregon spring football practice. Oregon may be lacking starting experience, but Will Stein’s quarterback room is still one of the better ones in the country with four scholarship quarterbacks in Dante Moore, Austin Novosad, Luke Moga and Akili Smith Jr. Moore and Novosad are clearly at the top of the depth chart, but Moga and Smith also showed promise. Moga has clearly taken a step in his development, while Smith looked poised and collected in his first taste of college football. Max and Zac also discuss Oregon’s young, but talented secondary. Rashad Wadood and Chris Hampton lose all of their starters from a season ago, but there’s a lot of promising options to piece together. Fortunately they have a couple of experienced transfers in Theran Johnson and Dillon Thieneman to raise the floor of the group. But how much will be see of true freshmen 5-stars Trey McNutt and Na’eeem Offord? Hopping back to the offense, the Ducks should field another talented offensive line, but just because you have top transfer portal prospects doesn’t promise anything. A’lique Terry has proven himself to be one of the best and brightest offensive line coaches in college football, but if the 2024 season taught us anything it’s that there are more than likely to be some bumps in the road along the way. And lastly, Oregon has another embarrassment of riches in Ra’Shaad Samples’ running back room and the Ducks are doing all they can to secure a commitment from 4-star Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt on Sunday.

Makes me wonder what happened to Ross James in the off season? Seems like he found his way into DL's dog house. It also suggests that you better not lose your edge & dedication during the off season if you want to see the field on this team!

The Friday starter for Michigan State has an incredible 2.51 ERA compared to Oregon's Grayson Grinsell's respectable 2.97 ERA, so this looks like a pitchers duel shaping up. My hope is that our batters find a way to get to their pitcher, as we did against the great UCLA and Oregon State Friday Night starters. The Spartan record of 23-19 is padded with a ton of small schools, or weak leagues. We thought Columbia of the Ivy League would challenge the Ducks, but our batters tore them up and Michigan State played Harvard and Cornell. This was on top of playing Western Michigan, Monmouth, Western Carolina, Winthrop, etc. In conference play, Michigan State lost to UCLA 15-9, lost their series with Iowa 2-1, got swept four games by Michigan, lost their series to Illinois 2-1, swept by Indiana 3-0 in their series, but won their series by a 2-1 margin against Northwestern and Penn State. In the end...all the prior scores don't matter; the Spartans will be hyped out-of-their-mind to beat the No. 6 team at home before their crowd, and Oregon will have their hands full. Let’s get it done Ducks! SIDEARM Integrations GODUCKS.COM Ducks coming off a season-series four-game sweep of Oregon State
