I remember one game distinctly from the Ducks 2007 season. It was a top five matchup against Arizona State, the Ducks rolled in that game. Dixon definitely looked like a Heisman contender. My fan hood being what it is, I can't say Dixon should've won it over Tebow. But the Ducks had a better season that year and Dixon would've been a worthy winner. I actually think Tebow had a better season in '08, the team obviously did as they won the National Championship.

This serves a great opportunity to invoke the famous Mark Twain axiom, ‘better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt’.

I think Don Diego has caught the Sankey 'It Just Means More' flu? Propaganda over Facts? I'm shocked! Vanderbilt Commodores football star Diego Pavia lashes out at strange target in spirited rant WWW.SPORTINGNEWS.COM Vanderbilt Commodores football star Diego Pavia took shots at the Big Ten conference in a strange rant. I wonder how low Vandy dropped its admission standards for this guy? As far as I can tell, Don Diego has never played against a team from the B1G. Here's a sampling of B1G vs SEC from the year 2024-25. B1G 4th place Ohio State - 2 - 0 / B1G 7th place USC 2 - 0 / B1G 6th place Michigan 1-0 9-3 South Carolina, "screwed out of a PO spot", lost to B1G 5th place 9-3 Illinois. Don, take 2 B1G pills and call me in the morning.

Yeah, Beaver Nation was going crazy after they tied it up, but they left runs on the bases and Louisville made them pay for it. Oh well, football is coming up, Beavs.

Valiant comeback by Beavs, down 6-3 in 9th to tie it, helped by a massive error by the SS. Cards walk it off in bottom of inning with a sac fly, scoring the SS who made the error.

Would have been incredible. I KNOW the Lady Ducks would have won the basketball Natty in 2020, and I'm positive that Dixon would have won the Heisman and the Ducks would have won their FIRST football Natty in 2007...

An interesting take on returning production numbers for Power 4 teams. College football returning production for 2025 season: List of starters coming back for every Power Four team - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM While splash transfer additions eat up offseason headlines, continuity is still paramount in college football The list of returning players includes only those players who made six starts in 2024. Using Tru Media stats, the last 8 CFB champions returned at least 11 players who started at least 6 games the previous season. Of the 10 teams with FanDuel's best odds to win the 2025-26 title, Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, and Penn State return 11 or more. OBD, Ohio State, Ole Miss, and Texas return fewer than 11. So, it's time for OBD to reverse the trend.

Oregon Ducks Practice Reports Updates, Etc. “2025” (5)
NJDuck replied to NJDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Four "What If's" for Oregon's 2025 Football Season When you lose a Heisman finalist at quarterback, three of your top four receivers, a 1,000-yard rusher, a first-round NFL Draft pick at offensive tackle, and three defensive players selected within the first 90 picks, it’s only natural for questions to arise in Eugene. The result? Plenty of uncertainty—and just as many hypotheticals—about what the 2025 Oregon Ducks football season might look like. With spring practice now over a month in the rearview mirror and more than two months remaining until Montana State rolls into Autzen Stadium for the season opener, it’s the perfect time to start asking: What if? A look back at the BCS computers, how we arrived at today's 'Eye Test' committee, and an argument that, with improved programming, at least in part, CFB should bring back the use of disclosed metrics. How the BCS’ endless self-tinkering influenced the Playoff WWW.BANNERSOCIETY.COM Twenty years ago, the BCS unveiled its original formula, and college football was never controversial ever again. Ralph Russo of The Athletic ($ wall) has an article up that bores holes through Sankey and his incessant beating of the drum for the SEC.
