  1. I think that if the Ducks announce their move to the Big Ten this year, they will move one year later than the SoCal schools, in 2025.
  2. Don't worry, everyone makes mistakes. BTW that reply was a pretty interesting read.
  3. If that rumor becomes true I believe the Big Ten will become the new Southern Conference, which at one point actually had more than 20 teams, I know that UO and UW are the most obvious candidates but I wonder what other schools could the Big Ten add, apparently they want Notre Dame to join, and I wonder which ones are the ACC schools being considered, I saw an article saying that Florida State and Miami could join the Big Ten, tho I believe the Hurricanes are more likely than the Seminoles since FSU wants to join the SEC and I'll believe they will turn down Miami, leaving no choice but to apply to the Big Ten.
  4. Do y'all believe that if we and Washington join the Big Ten, the conference decides to stay put at 18 teams or they decide to add 2 more random teams to reach 20?
  5. Yeah, I don't know why did I comment that thing about the Ducks indeed leaving, maybe we should do something to this thread?
  6. At this rate I'm sure that Oregon will indeed leave the conference, but the question is, when? I'm sure that the Ducks may leave this year but won't join their new conference until 2025 or something.
  7. I think that Oregon's only option if they leave the Pac-12 is the Big Ten, I'm sure that they don't want to be associated with the Big 12, and I personally would hate that, not only because of the amount of Big 12 home and homes we have for the next few years (I think we have played a lot of Big 12 opponents which is tiresome) but because it would be super weird, imagine being conference foes against a school located in Orlando and another one located in West Virginia.
  8. Thank you for the warm welcome! I love how people here are
  9. Off-topic but I wish we could make a thread about possible movements that don't have to relate to us, like for example Fresno State to the Big 12, which would be pretty neat imo. I also just had flashbacks reading about an article (that I think was deleted since it was published in about 2019-20) about Oregon and some other Pac schools attempting to join the Big 12 long before Oklahoma and Texas left for the SEC, it was published back when Larry Scott was still the Pac commissioner and I still remember a line saying that Larry would not allow that to happen, I also remember reading that article while I was in the hospital. There was a proposal back then involving the Four Corners schools (Arizona, Arizona State, Utah and Colorado) moving to the B12, which of course gained steam when USC and UCLA left.
  10. Man, I wish we could schedule an SEC series, the last one was the Tennessee matchups that happened in 2010 and 2013, I would love a series against Alabama, Auburn or Florida, maybe one against Texas A&M as well (tho I won't forgive them for backing out from an actually scheduled series that was going to happen in 2018-19)
  11. I still think that the Pac-12 would survive even if we and Washington go to the Big Ten, but only if they add four extra teams and no other team leaves. I've been thinking that the options would be San Diego State, SMU, UNLV (even tho they have been doing poorly in football) and another AAC member to be a travel companion for the Mustangs (hopefully Tulane).
  12. Thanks for the very kind words! Anyways back on topic, I do remember being amazed at the Auburn loss because of how stupid it was, I know most people would say that we should have scheduled a weaker opponent but Auburn right now, despite being an SEC program, isn't doing very well like it was in 2010. I think we could have gotten into the playoff if we only had one loss.
  13. Man I wish I were a good article writer, but I feel my grammar is weird and I'll never be able to do it.
  14. I just found where the OG thread is (I would say the site but I want everyone to be safe), and I see that it's being replied to constantly, tho sadly I can't see anything due to the site being locked behind a subscription.
  15. I honestly believe Fresno State is a secondary option in case the Big 12 can't add all of the Four Corners schools.
  16. That would have the same energy as the Iowa vs Iowa State games, if Oregon State remains a Power 5 opponent when we join that conference, we will never be able to schedule another P5 opponent so meeting against contenders like Alabama would only happen in the playoffs, but hey, at least we will preserve our most important rivalry.
  17. I would love to get a shot at ACC schools in football and basketball, but the problem would be that travel costs would be absolutely nightmarish in case the alliance is bigger than just scheduling a few games every now and then. Either way I'm all in for an Oregon vs Clemson game.
  18. I think Oregon will be doing just fine in all sports, the only thing that would massively change are the travel distances.
  19. I'm 100% sure Oregon would be an elite basketball team in the Big Ten, in fact, I sometimes think competing in the Big 12 would be absolutely harder. But anyways, the Pac-12 seems absolutely screwed now, all media deals won't seem to satisfy us and Washington so even if the money is similar in the Big Ten at first, they could get more national exposure in TV due to the deal with NBC, Fox and CBS, and I'm sure there will be a point where we will get a full share even if takes 6 or 7 years. Like I said, I'll really miss the Pac-12 but Oregon joining the Big Ten would be good for them, plus I'm looking forward to games against our new conference rivals plus USC, UCLA and Washington.
  20. If the Ducks do join the Big Ten, I'll be happy for them and at least know that their decision was the right one for them, but I'll really miss the Pac-12, I saw the new article saying why Pac-12 survival is a big interest but I doubt it will manage to survive, sadly. The Pac was one of the most interesting conferences and I disagree over the fact it was weak, but as I said, it isn't our decision, it's up to Oregon to decide where they go if the Big Ten offers them a spot. I personally would be excited for our future conference matchups against teams like Ohio State and be able to at least keep USC and UCLA in the schedule (hopefully Washington is brought in too), and no matter which scheduling model is brought in, I hope the Ducks are welcomed in a good way to the conference, tho I'm aware the move is not guaranteed.
  21. I know this will sound generic but I'm a huge Oregon Ducks fan, albeit I consider Alabama as my second team. BTW I actually don't live in the United States, I'm from Costa Rica and I started following the NCAA because of the mascots, but now I enjoy how entertaining the games and traditions are.
  22. Recently I've been very interested in seeing how does scheduling work, especially with matchups like Ohio State vs Alabama coming in the next few years as regular season non-conference games, but for us, the Oregon Ducks, I feel our future non-conference schedule could be improved upon. Right now, we have 5 Power 5 opponents scheduled as home and home series: Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Michigan State and Ohio State. None of which are absolutely easy opponents that we should understimate, especially the Buckeyes, but I would like to see more diversity with teams from the SEC and ACC, as well as some traditional Big Ten powers like Penn State or Michigan. As a result of this, I'll ask you, what's the best opponent you want to see the Ducks schedule? In my opinion, it's Alabama, a matchup that would bring tons of attention to the media, especially with how it was requested a lot back in the final years of the BCS era, and while those years are far behind, I still would love to see the Ducks play against the Crimson Tide, especially if it is in Tuscaloosa and Eugene instead of a kickoff game. Other opponents I would love to see being scheduled are: Florida, Clemson, Notre Dame and Penn State. But, what programs would y'all like to see being scheduled?
