Spartans Hold Off the Ducks 74-64
Spot on. When it's obvious you're undersized, blocking out, diving for loose balls should be the plan from the start. Missing a shift, not right on every rotation, these happen, but not hustling or blocking out aren't mistakes, they're lack of effort. Michigan State had the physical advantage and also hustled more.

Spartans Hold Off the Ducks 74-64
42-32 State at halftime. State got off to an 8-0 start, Oregon battled back, and it was close until State went on a 11-2 run. According to the announcers, the Ducks aren't all on the same page. The fouls are going State's way, which might be a little subjective, but the offensive rebound and 2nd chance points is why the Spartans are winning.

Oregon Burns Indiana, 72-59
USC didn't help itself when one guy hogged the ball like I used to see a guy do in pick-up games at Gerlinger hall in the 70's. The Trojans' chances at an upset ended when the player dribbled, and dribbled and dribbled, then tossed the ball right to a Purdue player.

Hey Finebaum, You're Forgetting Somebody Aren't you?
"There are essentially three schools making noise in the Big Ten," Finebaum said. "I don't count Indiana. Indiana to me was a paper tiger. You have Ohio State. You have Michigan. The last two winners. Then you have Penn State who many believe, although I'll have to believe it to see it, is a factor this year."

Dan Lanning Left 'Unsatisfied' After Oregon Ducks' 2024 Season
"Unsatisfied" wasn't the adjective I felt after the Rose Bowl. But and I really hope I don't see/hear, "unfinished business" as I'm really tired of that one. "Unsatisfied" does work now: undefeated regular season, wins over Michigan and osu2, B1G Championship over Penn State. Those are great achievements and really shouldn't be the floor for OBD going forward. I think making the CFP is a realistic expectation.

Oregon Burns Indiana, 72-59
Definitely. State is vying for a 1 or 2 seed, so they'll be intense. Let's see if getting a game in is an advantage for the Ducks against Sparty who'll be playing their first. State is good, but they're not a super team, Indiana beat them during the season. Ducks had TO's early, cleaned that up in the 2nd half. The flow of the game looked good, few early 3's. Neither Bittle nor Shelstad had great games, but the Ducks were really in control of the game.

Oregon Burns Indiana, 72-59
Solid win, Angel's best game in a long time. The Ducks were clearly better, eventually were too much for the Hoosiers. Bamba-Win streak, since he turned it around the Ducks haven't lost.

Oregon Burns Indiana, 72-59
3 points from Bittle in the 1st half, Oregon leads by 8. Most of the turnovers were early and that was cleaned up. Angel's best game in a long time. You'd think Bittle has to score more, but it's working so far. Be nice if he ended up in double digits. The first 4 minutes of the second half are always important!

Oregon Burns Indiana, 72-59
n the Big Ten Tournament as a whole, I’m going with Oregon. The Ducks have won seven in a row, and the dominance of center Nate Bittle will serve Oregon well against numerous Big Ten teams that can compete inside. Michigan State is, on paper, the obvious choice to win it all, but Dana Altman’s Oregon squads pulled off upset conference championships in 2019 and 2024. The Big Ten road is tougher, but I’m rolling with the eighth-seeded Ducks to take down Indiana, the Spartans, Wisconsin and Maryland en route to a title.

Big Ten Tournament Preview: What You Need To Know About Oregon's Road to the Championship
Indiana, on a "neutral court" is going to be tough. I don't think OBD can shoot as poorly, especially 3's again and win. Playing on the road hasn't been bad for Oregon this season, these wins would be even more impressive than beating Alabama & A & M. I don't know how high Oregon would rise with a B1G championship, why not basketball too. maybe a 4. Beating Indiana could lock in a 5, hopefully, losing, OBD won't drop to the dreaded 8-9.

Bittle Snubbed by the B1G Basketball Awards?
The B1G is big, so making 3rd team is significant, but I believe that compared to Bittle, Shelstad is overranked being on the same level. He did hit some shots at the end of games, but better, more consistent play would have made those hero shots unnecessary, there were far too many games, where Shelstad, the point guard, would disappear completely.

Bittle Snubbed by the B1G Basketball Awards?
The media didn't think anything of the Ducks, which goes with the announcing, except for former Bruin, Don MacLean. However, on the coaches' side, Bittle and Shelstad both made the 3rd team, Bittle & Bamba both on the All-Defensive Team. 2025 All-Big Ten men's basketball teams revealed, awards announced - On3 WWW.ON3.COM On Tuesday, the Big Ten revealed its 2025 men's basketball postseason honors. B1G Basketball Attendance
I saw George Carlin & Elvis Presley at Mac Court, and graduations were fine. I loved Mac Court popcorn, the memory of its aroma is forever. Ernie-Scott Frost. Nobody is saying that Old Mac Court is the answer, the answer is a NEW Mac Court, it would be right there with Autzen.

B1G Basketball Attendance
Completely agree. We're not arguing that putting some paint on Mac Court was the answer. But Oregon, the most innovative sports program in the country was inert, not innovative, when it came to MKA. Autzen isn't a huge, amenity laden football arena. But it's as hostile and as much of a HFA as any stadium in the country. MKA has nothing that says "Oregon" other than the trees on the court, (a huge improvement, over the first look.) But, I don't care how loud the crowd would get, and it was loud during Sabrina's games, it didn't come close to "the Pit" Todays players watch some tape of games during the Kamikaze Kids" era, they'd love it! Scoreboard shaking overhead, baskets rocking, the band blasting tunes, not some message board saying, "Get Loud!" McKale at Arizona, Cameron Indoor at Duke are hostile now. Please. Oregon could have remade Mac Court, brought it up to date, they didn't. MKA is as vanilla as it gets.

B1G Basketball Attendance
When he wasn't talking about geography, or the average rainfall discrepancy between Needles, CA. & Sedro Wooley, WA. Bill Walton mentioned how he was always excited for a road game, especially in a hostile environment. He loved playing in Mac Court. A good team feeds on the energy coming from the fans, a great team uses it to play even harder. It's all in how the team takes it. Indiana fans will be loud, if Oregon plays tough, smart, they'll shut them up. It's like getting seasick, how you take it from the start is everything. You go out, the boat starts rolling, go with it, it's nothing, you'll be fine. You start going sideways, you're done.

Assessing Oregon’s 2025 Football Schedule
11-1 is the floor, and OBD is favored at Penn State. I don't see a game like Wisconsin last season that looks dicey. Unless Moore turns out to far less than we're thinking, with the OL looking to start solid & just getting better, a thunder & lightning RB room, WR's, led by Evan Stuart, the O will score, and the D, with attack ready safeties, an aggressive DL & LB corps, Oregon isn't giving up the B1G.
