The east coast and SEC bias are issues we on the "left" coast put up with every year.

All we can do is keep winning. There are at least 6 remaining games against teams that should finish season above .500, they should help our cause.

Early season rankings just show their bias and mean little.

Unless someone above us loses, don't be surprised if we fall 1 or 2 spots after the bye. Especially if Purdue beats the Beavers.

Hate to say it, but a close Purdue/Beavitch score would likely help the Duck ranking.

  2. When my older brothers were in HS, I got to "play" ball with them... Mind you, I was a skinny, short for my age, grade school kid, while my brothers were both eventually collegiate athletes.

One of my brothers was a 6'9 basketball prodigy who eventually became a 'shot doctor' for Clyde Drexler and Terry Porter. The other was a 6'6 moose.

Their playmates were all bruisers, one of whom was a HS all American shooting guard.

Compassion was not their strong suit.

Football? "Here, kid, you hike the ball!" I was usually lined up across from the 6'5 power forward/linebacker... I bet you can guess how long that lasted!

Baseball? I got to bat first, and usually was hit with a pitch or stomped trying to cover home plate...

Basketball? I got a lot of pebble patterned facial abrasions trying for a lay up.

Only advantage I ever had was I was always faster than all of them.

Maybe the beavitch will eventually get tired of getting punched in the mouth.

    Don't hold your breath.

Colorado under Deion was a joke in the PAC and now the Big 12 is about to find out why. I'd love to see him try and get mouthy before playing Oklahoma St. at home on November 29th just to have Mike Gundy and Co. put him in his place.

Is Colorado saying they jumped for greener pastures because they couldn't win an honest game?

IIRC, they split for the Big12 before the dirty Ducks split for the much greener B1G...

Who cares?  He is a reporter from TN, and he is just attempting to report something that he thinks his readers will be interested in and want to hear.

It’s likely that many TN fans are jealous, and tired of hearing and reading the hype and positives surrounding the Oregon program and Dan Lanning.

Many TN fans are also saying that Kirby Smart should be fired bc of all of the off-field issues or because we lost to Bama and missed the Playoff.  Many are topping it off by stating that TN would never employ such a terrible person! 🤣😂🤣

I'm thinking if Smart were available, many Tennessee fans would be salivating...

'What's Luck got to do with it,

What's Luck but a secondhand emotion?'

Luck plays a role in every college football season and it could be the difference between success and failure for these teams

"Luck is when preparation meets opportunity." Roman Stoic Philosopher Seneca.

Hmmmmmmmmm? What happens when you question Roman Goddess Fortuna, the goddess of Luck, Fortune, and Fate? The Emperor Nero ordered friend Seneca to commit suicide. Seneca stoically complied by cutting his wrists and then entering a bathtub to exsanguinate. (I'm not certain how one can be a goddess of Luck and Fate at the same time. You would think that one would trump the other. No?)

Dumping on Fortuna and the Emperor both is a wristy proposition.

CBS Sports has identified a handful of teams odds on to run out of luck in 2024. Among the projected frustrated 5 are our 'buddies' up north in Seattle. Luck equals winning 8 one-score games in 2023, including a PO semi-final game vs Texas in Texas. Are any canines left to sacrifice? 😂

I see what you did there, Jon. 😉

Remember, Fortuna was a deadly combination, a woman and a goddess, subject to an unknowable (nee, capricious) turn of a whim.

Much like the turn of a knife, luck cuts both ways, hence, Orebon's two humiliating, indeed, frustrating. Losses to the fuzzkies, followed by U Duh's I'll fated meeting with MeatChicken...
