  1. Actually it was Willie Taggart who broke the recruiting glass ceiling at Oregon, and Cristobal continued it. Just before Taggart announced his departure--Oregon had the No. 3 ranked recruiting class in the nation, something that had never been done at Oregon. Once he left--many of those recruits did as well, although Mario rescued quite a bit of that class. No surprise he could recruit well...
  2. These uniforms are not my favorites, but they are of the players. From a marketing standpoint, this is the perfect game to feature the uniqueness of Oregon uniforms compared to everyone else. I don’t necessarily agree with the choice, but I get it.
  3. The helmet looks unlike what I recall from before....as it is a black background with silver wings, when they were a flat black before... Prior one...
  4. Thanks Alex....this is one of those games where you can't pull your eyes away because it will be so entertaining/frustrating, but the suspense is going to be awful. Love your thoughts about Penix...
  5. Now that their value is shown to be so poor relative to our conference, and all the other Power-Five conferences, shouldn’t they reflect on how generous we were sharing equal revenue with them? Shouldn’t they count their blessings of the past, instead of being angry at us for doing what they would’ve done as well?
  6. It is one thing to claim that ten other schools screwed you, but let's consider the proof of your poor value--how many offers did you get from other Power-5 conferences? Even at a discount? Even at a Cal/Stanford discount? Still no takers? And WE are the problem?
  7. He's in denial, like Oregon State....
  8. Better help your friend before he turns into this!
  9. My Duck-Buddies....just try listening to this without laughing and smiling. Jonathan is a great Oregon fan, and very talented as well. Enjoy!
  10. When I think of what Tonya Harding did to Nancy Kerrigan...
  11. We must count our blessings, my Duck-Buddies...
  12. Whoa! I've seen this kind of thing before....when Mario was at Oregon!
  13. David--I was not aware of the important stats you cited, and I do appreciate the information and perspective. The question that is imbedded within your article is, "if you had a choice between an offense that is more reliant on the Quarterback, or an offense that is more balanced and has a better chance of winning a Natty....which do you pick?" I pick the balanced offense every time; not only can your team go farther, but the chance still remains for a shot at a Heisman simply from all the winning. Fantastic stat about how many TDs Bo has rushed for this year compared to last--whoa. Between that and what you wrote concerning the ball-control happening with the passing attack, it makes me appreciate that much more what Will Stein is doing for Bo and the Oregon offense. Great article-thanks!
  14. Got my first obscene hate email of Husky week....Cool!
  15. Perfect example of that and the unique matchups. This Saturday is the first "elimination" game, as both UCLA and Oregon State have a loss and a second loss pretty much puts the loser out of the conference race. Interesting game at 5:00 PM on Saturday...
  16. In the end...you simply need to have faith that, "Dan will get his."
  17. The proud B1G conference should re-think the entry of the men of Washington into their prestigious conference. Note I stated the men, because the female athletes in Seattle are at least marginally acceptable to join, but their male counterparts should be ignored and soundly rejected. The Men of Washington Should be REJECTED by the B1G FISHDUCK.COM The proud B1G conference should re-think the entry of the men of Washington into their prestigious conference. Note I stated the men… My FishDuck Friends....remember two things with this article: 1) It is humor and fun, and 2) "I never said I was noble."
  18. The consensus here believes that Oregon will grow their audience in the B1G, between all the television opportunities...the question is how much of an increase? Meanwhile had we stayed with the Pac-12....not only was the money going to be half of B1G revenues over time, but our audience could shrink from primarily being on streaming before the rest of the country had adapted. This end is not what I wanted, but I am going to make the best of it, and clearly--it is best for Oregon, given the options. (IMHO)
