  1. Nah, I don't agree. Mac Court could not last with the way it was wearing down, and the seating was so cramped it just killed my knees. If Altman was winning like in 2017...Matt Court would be filled. We want winning basketball and know when we see it--not just in wins, but smarts and hustle. I believe Dana is still figuring out how to navigate this new portal environment and that of one-and-dones. I see Mark Campbell won 24 games at a Sac State team that was terrible when he took over and now is going to TCU. I often wonder how dependent Graves was to him, and how dependent Dana was to assistants that have left?
  2. This is precisely what I have experienced on the forum. I am sad to report that I banned two MODERATORS two weeks ago; one for two weeks, and the other permanently. These are people who know the rules, broke one, and instead of taking a notification like a man and thus we move on and forget about it--they choose to fight with me about it in several ongoing emails. When I explained that the rules pertain to all, and that as moderators--I should not have to tell them that--the push-back became extreme. The problem was with ME, not the rules, not them breaking it...which is what everyone says. What cartm25 wrote is exactly what everyone thinks...even moderators. The one I banned for two weeks is someone I really like and care about, but I doubt he will be back. (Because the problem is with Charles, not the offenders) The other one has given me grief before, and nowadays--I have a low tolerance level. After all...I am asking for something really extreme, like civility. As I've written before, we have a very selfish culture now, and it runs with all genders, and all ages. (I banned an 82 year old retired Federal Prosecutor a while back) All for the same reasons... "Charles....you will have nobody left at this rate!" Yep, and those who are remaining value civility, and don't give me trouble. I am not going to be babysitting adults. If I knew what I was in for a year and a half ago? I would not have started this forum. Nobody would want to deal with over 300 violators in that time... My lesson? I was completely wrong in my analysis of what people wanted on the web; I thought most people wanted civility? Wrong. Most people on the web do NOT want to be "polite and respectful", and that is a sad fact I've learned.
  3. He is like Chip Kelly, but not. Like Chip Kelly he wants to use "Core Plays at Key Moments" so there is less chance of error. But unlike Chip Kelly, Will Stein is quite a bit more innovative and willing to throw the ball when the first down is needed. My axiom; "First downs at the end of the game are as important as touchdowns earlier in the game. Without both you don't win..." THANKS to Coach Smith for posting this!
  4. Ranks right up there as one of the most incredible come-backs I've seen! Oregon put up huge numbers last weekend, and Waz was telling us that the Northwestern State pitchers were actually quite good. Not many of us believed him, as we discounted the opponent. Well, the Ducks just put 15 and 13 on ARIZONA, thus this group of Oregon hitters is a sight to see. The Ducks pounded seven runs last night on a projected Top-100 MLB Draft prospect, so Oregon is for real!
  5. I believe the legislation requires Oregon to take little brother with us to another conference, should we leave the Pac-12 and this bill is passed. Little Brothers are such a pain...
  6. I do not trust the source; this is the guy who said that he heard ahead of time that the B1G was going to invite USC and OREGON. Really? And Robbins said nothing to anyone? We were all blindsided by the departure except this mouth? Some who come up short just want your attention...
  7. Like Dillingham and Lanning on 4th down...."we need an adult in the room."
  8. Great point. We have had no leaks about the process, what everyone knows, etc....until now. Robbins is an unprofessional loose cannon, and someone needs to tell him to...
  9. No sweat-you had good intentions, and we are getting discussion!
  10. You have to consider the writer; he has been exposed on this forum as one who does NOT use sourced reporting, and deals in rumor. He is a tool looking to hurt the PAC-12 at every opportunity.
  11. You are new here, so you would not know of the TONS of articles posted about that topic, and subsequent posts written about it over the last year. As new articles and news comes available, we welcome threads to discuss them.
  12. Well, please keep posting your thoughts here, as we enjoy your writing in the forum!
  13. Oregon State fans do not like the thought of being “Oregon’s Little-Brother,” yet that is what this bill is. ”If you want to go anywhere, you have to take your little brother.”
  14. Cristobal's offense hurt us there; the boneheaded play-calling in the second half of the Auburn game was frustrating. With ASU....there are days when the opposing team is on fire scoring points, and you need to be able to respond. Oregon could not.
  15. We have enough problems with the "me" players, but to "go through several layers?"
  16. Yep, truck stops and..... Photos: 2021 Solon Beef Days Hay Bale Toss WWW.THEGAZETTE.COM Iowa football players were once again among the competition at the Solon Beef Days Hay Bale Toss
  17. Cool-you threw me a curve with the y’all, and we welcome everyone. Gotta love the web to bring us all together!
  18. A nice first post here, and welcome! I would prefer playing Alabama in the Playoff, and for that matter-I want to save playing Playoff teams for the playoffs. We have fans from tons of schools posting here, and they add richness to our forum. Where are you from? What is your school?
  19. If we can make it happen--super, as I'd love to stay in the Pac-12. But I will go along with whatever Oregon decides is best for them, and will continue to be a very intense fan.
  20. Great post 2002duck, and on the other sites--they think this might tip things to Dante coming back. Most on other sites do not think Dante is ready for the NBA, contrary to my thoughts on the 12th and now. I would be wary of quoting me when it comes to basketball; with my football thoughts, those are usually reasoned--backed by hundreds of hours of study. Even then, I am wrong half the time! But my Basketball thoughts are just WAGs. Like Oregon Baseball, I enjoy watching the sport, but do not know much in-depth about it.
  21. Wow--great point Jon, and I did not think of that negotiating tactic. I am sure that whatever the Pac-12 comes up with--the B1G is lying in weeds saying, "we can beat that, and yet it will be cheaper than a full new member." Nah, I'm sure it will go well.
  22. With what I've watched thus far, I do not think the Ducks can overtake Stanford (No. 9 in the nation) or the Bruins (No.7 in the nation) but I do believe we can pass Oregon State and Arizona in the final conference standings in a month. (Oregon is unranked at the moment, and none of the current B1G teams are either) Oregon's RPI is No. 16 in the nation, (Which would just make the cut to host an NCAA Regional) and the Strength of Schedule is an impressive No. 4 in the nation. We find out soon about our chances, as we have a series at Tucson this weekend. The Oregon hitting has come alive as the Ducks have scored 59 runs in the last five games. Whew!
  23. Interesting point. Maybe Dana laid down the gauntlet of what is expected, and Ware opted out of the work required?
  24. A forum member on another site, (who has had some correct inside information before regarding the hiring of Lanning and Stein) states that his source tells him that an offer will be made to Oregon and Washington "before May." Not a lock, but decent credibility. The B1G could guarantee money to OR/WA well below what they are paying to Rutgers and Northwestern for 5-6 years, and that would probably be well above what the new Pac-12 contract would be. If they offered 40 million--would you take it? What is your cutoff point? Mine is 40 million, not 38 or 39 but then I am not one to decide! Yet it would be easier to make the new 12 team CFB Playoff in the Pac-12... And the morality of it all--destroying the Pac-12 for our own survival? (Some would say greed) Another Bad Decision?
  25. Speechless. Former top-10 prospect Kel'el Ware to enter transfer portal, leave Oregon 247SPORTS.COM Oregon freshman Kel'el Ware, the No. 7 overall prospect out of the 2022 class, will enter the transfer portal and has no intention of entering the 2023 NBA Draft, he tells Worst-thing-possible. Unbelievable. So Duck fans...how does this feel to you?
