  1. Offense for sure. Only averaging 32 points per game against inferior competition. That’s Mari Cristbal production . . . Yikes!
  2. I’ve noticed the same thing! Doesn’t look near as crisp or vibrant as the past.
  3. "Even a broken clock is right twice a day." Mari Cristbal is an incredible recruiter, especially in the trenches. History has shown that great-recruiting-bad-coaching head coaches can occasionally win it all . . . See Ed Orgeron, LSU, and Joe Burrow. Don't ever want this to happen for Mari Cristbal, but theoretically, it could. Re: the VT v. Miami review, let's propose a rule: "If within 60 seconds of seeing all available footage nothing is conclusive, then the call stands." Isn't taking 7 FREAKING MINUTES evidence that there's no CONCLUSIVE evidence!!!???
  4. My thought while watching was that playing Dante Moore would place the focus on him and UCLA rather than the team. No way of knowing, but that’s what went through my mind.
  5. I was going to post something, but you took the words right out of my mouth.
  6. Unsatisfying indeed. Uniforms were a thing of beauty. 1st half was a thing of beauty. I know there was a pick 6, but the WR fell down; no interception if TJ keeps his feet. 2nd half was pedestrian, and pedestrian won’t beat the likes of Ohio State. Still want to see a string of complete games where the Ducks pass the eye test as well.
  7. No offense to TEs, but I’d much rather have beef on OL.
  8. I'm partial to the ones that occur at the beginning of games when the energy can hardly be contained: - Penn State White Out pregame - VT playing Metallica pregame - ** I thought Wisconsin's "Jump Around" was pregame, but apparently it's similar to Oregon's between 3rd / 4th quarters, but I still like the song choice better than "Shout". I think the risk in having the tradition mid-game is that the energy level could be dependent on how well the game is going. For example, from my perspective watching TV, it didn't look like there was much enthusiasm for "Shout" in the Idaho game . . . too many people in shock, LOL. On the other hand, maybe it could be the spark to lead a comeback. I'd like to see 10 Duck motorcycles revving as loud as possible come out of the tunnel with something from AC/DC blaring . . . Back in Black? Thunderstruck? Make the motorcycle noise and music deafening.
  9. Saturday’s are busy for me; kids’ sports, yard work, etc. I actually like the late games where I can watch them in peace and quiet, without kids and wife (who snookered me and lied about loving football while we were dating).
  10. Some general thoughts about the remaining teams on Oregon's schedule: UCLA - Should be a shellacking similar to what the Beavers received. Michigan State - Still unsure about this team. They make me a little nervous. Don't laugh too quickly at the loss to BC. Boston College has a decent resume (i.e., not a push over). tosu - I hate this team so much. Hope we pound them, but won't know what to expect until game time. tosu will have only played cupcakes leading up to the Oregon game . . . I guess that's true for the Ducks' schedule, too. Purdue - They lost to the Beavers . . . I'll end my analysis there. Illinois - Went toe-to-toe with Nebraska and won. Looks like a solid team not to be underestimated. Michigan - Looks VERY stout defensively, but incredibly one-dimensional on offense. Will be a tough game in Ann Arbor. Maryland - A frisky team that Oregon should handle. Wisconsin - The challenge will be the game location and weather; buckle up. Washington - "Insert Poop Emoji" here. Let's hear your thoughts/opinions about the remaining schedule.
  11. Great game between Illinois and Nebraska. Looked like two quality teams trading punches. Raiola looks like the real deal, but his limited experience may have bit him at the end of this game.
  12. Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium has about 102K capacity and I heard they just added a surcharge to every ticket. Quite an NIL advantage to have that big a stadium like that.
  13. It's still sad to think about it today. Not a single team in the nation knew what to do with the Ducks that year . . . but fate had other, nefarious, plans for Dennis Dixon. Oh how my soul yearns to see what might have been if not for such a fickle thing as an ACL.
  14. Great minds think alike! The 2002 Fiesta Bowl is a great call by you. In fact, that should have made my list. I didn't grow up with cable, so it wasn't until I was in college circa 2007 that I could follow the Ducks more closely, but the 2002 Fiesta Bowl was one of the most memorable games for me as well.
