I saw that Boettcher went yard on the pond otters. That had to hurt some feelings.

I’m really loving Caldwell, too.

Jay Harris is a stud. I could see him starting by mid-season.

Was Troy Franklin’s combine numbers really that bad? I’m scratching my head over the WR’s that have been drafted over him.

JPJ won’t make it past the Cowboys in Round 2. He’s likely to get snatched up before then due to his versatility.
I’m looking forward to the Bo/Herb biannual matchups. If Bo can grasp Payton’s system then they should have some great games.

Booger McFarland has proven that he’s just a mouthpiece who doesn’t do any statistical research. He called Bo a “dink and dunk” passer at Oregon. He probably should’ve pulled his head out of his butt long enough to watch a Ducks game film.

If Beavis tries to flee to another conference with all of Oregon’s money, hopefully Trooper Dick Curtis will be lying in wait.
“Well now! Where you fellas goin’ with all that stolen cash!”

He needs to get good transfers since his recruiting has dropped off. Van Lith is back in the portal. She’s from WA, but might be willing to come to Eugene. However, the Zags might have the inside track.

Everybody needs to remember that just because a coach is successful in Eugene doesn’t mean he is going to succeed elsewhere. It’s not always because they don’t perform well. Sometimes they take a job with a head coach who isn’t doing too well. Klemm and Donte Williams are two recent examples. However, I have high hopes for Dilly.

How would Chip and Campbell be involved?
I know Locklyn had him at practice on occasion but not following how they would have been involved.
We only see that Lock had him to practice on occasion. We don’t know what kind of personal relationship they developed in the past couple of years. If anybody knows what it’s like to be a minority football coach in Eugene it’s Gary Campbell. He could provide the kind of mentorship that Lock might not find within the staff.
Chip may have reached out to Campbell to gauge Lock’s interest or to see if Campbell thought he might be a good fit for Chip’s coaching style and offensive philosophy. Smart coaches often use their personal relationships as part of their candidate search. The interview is part of the process but it’s not the only factor.

The fact that Lock’s guys didn’t fumble is a huge selling point for him. I also get the sneaking suspicion that Chip and Gary Campbell were involved.

I hate it. The surprise onside kicks that swung the momentum of games are no longer possible. Oregon probably doesn’t beat Stanford in 2010 without that onside kick as it definitely took the wind out of their sails.
I’m equally sure that the Saints don’t win the Super Bowl in 2010 without their surprise onside kick. They’re taking one of the biggest situational coaching decisions out of the game.

They finished empty. You can’t ask for more.

Well, they will have plenty of time to ruminate on their sofas on Saturday watching every team but theirs!
Their whining kind of reminds me of left coast USC fans.
Their basketball fans (especially WBB) can get pretty whiny. However, their football fans will pack Williams-Brice and get loud when they’re 3-7. They’re some of the most loyal fans I’ve ever witnessed.

Hmm. Not one mention of Dana Altman. They didn’t realize that he knew how to beat them. He seems to do his best when the deck is stacked against him and his roster isn’t loaded with 5-stars.

Not to mention the previous PAC appearance, Oregon, losing in the semi, a year or so earlier, in egregious fashion
They just decided not to block out on the final two free throw attempts. The Heels big men manhandled them in the paint. That was a huge disappointment.

Since 2018 (2020 was cancelled)
Pac-12
16 teams invited
8 to the Sweet 16 (50%)
3 to the Elite 8 (18.75%)
1 to the Final 4 (6.25%)
SEC
32 teams invited
12 to the Sweet 16 (37.5%)
4 to the Elite 8 (12.5%)
1 to the Final 4 (3.125%)
With more invites, the SEC has certainly been better at losing than the Pac.
Both of these Final Four teams went down in heartbreaking fashion. Auburn got hosed by the refs against UVA and UCLA lost on a half-court buzzer beater.

Usually when a team is hyped as a bracket buster they get beat in the first round. It’s the sleepers you have to worry about.

If you have the chance to watch Full Swing on Netflix they did a good job of highlighting his rise to prominence with the help of his sports psychologist. It’s a great series all around.

I think they have to win on Saturday.
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but a lot of these conference tournaments have had upsets which puts more "comparables" that the Ducks would have to fend off.
I think so, too. They would probably bounce Colorado if they win out.

As soon as the playing field is leveled a bit, little Nicky quits his job and cries to politicians to fix it. The system isn’t perfect, but at least there is parity in college football again.
Another thing. The only group of people who can screw up college football worse than the NCAA is the politicians in DC. They have bigger fish to fry anyway.

I hope Mark Campbell hasn’t gotten too used to Ft. Worth yet. In all honesty, he doesn’t seem like the type of guy who would ditch TCU after only one season. He’s had some good success despite the adversity his team faced this season.

Craigslist is just a haven for scammers and criminals, so it had to have been a swamp rat. I’m surprised that anyone took the ad seriously. It only took me about one day of searching for boats a few years ago to figure this out. I’ve never looked at that site since. I’m glad they were quick to remove the ad.

Kim,
Take good care of yourself and get well soon. We’ll be praying for you.
