    I see a close, low-scoring game.

I think UGA gets a few more scores due to the “Bo” factor. He’s probably going to give them a short field for a TD or two. It may end up like the 2011 LSU game. Turnovers can change the trajectory in a heartbeat.

I know it works both ways but, Bennet is a seasoned national champion. He is good at getting the ball in the right hands.

I agree, Benson looked really good.  I’m not really sure why he left, but it would certainly be nice if Oregon still had him.  But I think the Ducks will be fine at RB without him.

One question- Wasn’t the reason he was underutilized at Oregon primarily bc of injuries?

Yes. He was hurt his first year. Knee surgery I think. He seemed healthy last season. I don’t recall any injury reports. MC may have been trying to bring him back slowly.

Oregon’s Moshofsky Center officially has a facelift. The Ducks showed off the completed interior paint job for their indoor training facility and it looks incredible. Former Nike creative director Todd Van Horne helped with the design. Freshest out. Why not? Top 50+ offensive players for the Ducks since 1990.

Maybe a bit tougher, as most have their own ratings for the skill guys, and OL probably - for a number of reasons - is about the toughest position spot to rank. Where to put all these guys? What standard does one use to place them?

Ugh. Yes. Missed Jalen Jelks. I probably would add him around JD Nelson and Avery Patterson, about #75?

Great Duck. Even for a long time Duck fan, 30 + years is a tough undertaking (as the memory does fade and there just are a number of things to weigh). I probably need to update to add in at least McKinley III and Wright to the list. I'm just realizing, where is Spenser Paysinger? Got to be top 40.

And I am happy to be wrong, so if there is a wrong or a big ommission, just fire away...

    What? No Eddie Pleasant?

Anybody know what happened to Mykael Wright?

Cant find his name anywhere. Always thought he was a shoe-in for a NFL roster.

He has great size, but he ran a very slow 40 time for a CB. I don’t think he got a free agent contract. Hopefully, he pops up in the USFL or XFL.

Will be arriving in Eugene, Friday the 16th and was looking to visit some of the local breweries and taprooms, looking to do a "pub crawl" during that day so to speak to check out the local craft beer scene, but I didn't realize how many breweries and taprooms there are in Eugene so I'm a bit overwhelmed with all of the different options in choosing which ones to go to.  Here are the ones I'm considering (in no particular order):

    1. Alesong on 5th

    2. Oakshire Public House

    3. Beergarden

    4. Ninkasi Better Living Room

    5. Elkhorn

    6. Hop Valley

    7. Cold Fire

    8.  Wildcraft Cider Works

    9.  Gratitude

    10. Claim 52

    11. Falling Sky

    12. The Beer Stein

    13. Tap And Growler

Can y'all help me narrow down the choices based on your recommendations?  Also, is there a bus system that we could take in between stops at these places so that we won't have to drive or is it all walkable (within walking distance and with sidewalk access, etc)?

Tailgating: what is the tailgating scene like and what should we expect that day?  Since it will be an earlier game (12:30), I'm guessing there won't be that much tailgating and breakfast options will be limited?  Anyone here hosting a tailgating party for that morning/day?

    Thank you!

Sark, is that you? If I had to pick a game where I would expect to run into absolutely zero opposing fans in the local bars, the BYU game would be the one. Anyway, who am I to judge? I’m sure I took my first drink of beer while I was still in diapers.

I have never been to a noon game, but everybody still tailgates around the stadium. They just do it all classy-like with Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas. Just kidding, Duck fans can get redneck with the best of them, so expect to see plenty of beer. We don’t have the tailgating “prowess” as some of our northerly neighbors, but we also don’t drop home games to Montana.

I always parked at the Masonic Lodge across from PK Park. They charged a flat fee for the car and had plenty of portable toilets. Just remember to BYOB. Save some for the end of the game as it can take a while for MLK to clear up enough for you to drive out of there. The after-parties are always the best anyway.

Everybody needs to keep in mind that these rankings were likely based on their performances at Oregon. That is why you don’t see Herbert. He only ever made honorable mention All Pac-12.  Also, Russ Francis only played a little more than one season in Eugene with no all-conference honors and Dan Fouts’ TD/INT ratio for his career was 37/54.

All of this is fairly accurate with a few regional differences.  And yes, there are some regional differences.  Not all southern accents are the same; coastal plain and upper coastal plain; all somewhat more refined you might say. These are found in south Alabama, south Georgia and some of north Florida, and even these have variances.

Atlantic coastal plain and Piedmont, very similar to the coastal plain drawl, but a bit more excited in timing. Then there is the mountain accent, that has some of the same cadences, but has that Dolly Parton & Loretta Lynn bounce; found in the southern Appalachians up thru WV) Most of its pretty subtle, and people from outside the region probably can't tell the differences.

    Hope y'all enjoy the trip!

I live in NC. It’s all NY and Boston accents around here.
