DC, I love your comment. But big-time B1G schools do not travel to G5 stadia even for 9 and 1.

WSU has the same broadcast issues as OSU and the stadium is tiny and very hard to get to.

We'd be doing WSU a favor by allowing them the gift of playing us @ Autzen... every once in a while.

The only time I want to be remotely near Martin Stadium again is perhaps on my way to Coeur d'Alene or Jackson Hole.

The Ducks should schedule light in OOC games for the next few years.  See how these young men play on the road in November.

Absolutely. Going forward, we should always schedule relatively light OOC games.

What's good for the SEC, should also be good for Oregon.

Much like a lottery winner, it sounds good, but it never ends well. The Pig-2, love the name, will go down in flames much like every lottery winner.

When you earn it you are much more likely to keep it, grow it and have something to show for it. I like where the Ducks are now and in the future.

The beavs and cougs just sat there, did nothing, as the bus left the barn, and found themselves on the lucky end of a Larry Scott lottery.

    Great comment & video.

The problem with the Pig-2 having been welfare recipients with their hands out there now for decades, is that once they quickly run out of OPM (Other PAC Money), they'll have virtually no idea how to survive.

I'm tellin' ya... it ain't gonna be pretty when we effectively see them on the side of Highway 99 picking up can & bottles, and holding up cardboard signs that say: "Need More Free OPM." (OPM has an opium like effect)

And of course, they'll still go nowhere near a mirror, and they will continue to blame everyone & everything else for their demise.

No sweat.  I thought you intentionally did it and I thought it was pretty funny.

For those of us who are not very Nobel....we gotta get some laughs!

Dang... I should have run with it 😁.

But hey... More PAC-12 March Madness -- We're now 6-0!

I don't know if that was an intentional misspelling of "noble," but....

I just hate it when I make a speeling error. It's downright embarrassing.

I don't suppose anyone would buy it if I attempted to bs my way into saying that I was making some sort of "Nobel Prize" tie in.😉

  6. Kentucky's HC Calipari:

I’ve got all my coaching buddies call, and they say, ‘I love your team.’ And I love this team too. We’re built for March.” Calipari said.

Yeah... built to get bounced again in the first round and enjoy March from the comfort of your man-cave at home.

And as the Master FishDuck sez: "I never said I was nobel."

Two thrilling upsets, our first overtime game, and a healthy heap of high-flying offense highlighted day two of the NCAA tournament.

    Absolutely love this quote:

"Greg Sankey just had to open his mouth. He just had to very publicly imply that the tournament needs to be tinkered with, and that giving automatic bids to smaller conferences is wasting them.

Well, look what you did now you absolute buffoon."

Oh well, I was hoping for a better finish but Grand Canyon took care of business in the final minutes.  Good for them!

Between GCU and James Madison there are two very dangerous 12 seeds advancing.  JMU looked very good earlier tonight.  They play a vicious brand of basketball.  Both of these teams play very good defense.

That GCU last 3:30 was painful to watch and downright ugly. Frankly, it was just very poorly played. They are fortunate that SMU did not have any time outs remaining after the 3:30 mark. GCU won't be able to get away with that kind of late poor play again. They need to learn how to use the clock, and they look like a JV team when trying to inbound the ball.

Still, what a great win for their program.

And James Madison... another lower seed excellent win too.

    March Madness!

  9. Love the Lopes. That's great that your kid goes their. One of sons went their and graduated a few years ago -- and he loved it.

Great school, environment, and amazing facilities.

But enough Lopes talk... GO DUCKS!

Everyone agrees about the court!  GET RID OF THAT ABOMINATION!  I don't care if it was designed by Tinker Hatfield, it's ugly and not even innovative!

Getting back to the game, some of their observations aren't that untrue.   Dante can turn the ball over under pressure, Couisnard is a decent player but no means a star, Shelsted is a small guard who can be bullied some if he can't get space, and our conference has been a bit of joke for the last few years, while the SEC has become much better.

I think it's a toss up game, but if I was USC I would be confident as well, they've had a great season for their program, they're on the rise, they're playing a team that has been inconsistent in the extreme, and hasn't shot well at all.

The floor is definitely innovative. But the bummer is that, while creative, it looks like crapola on TV. In person, it's not quite as bad.

But I feel like we're kind of the basketball equivalent of Boise State's vomit blue Smurf-Turf.

    Since 2018 (2020 was cancelled)

    Pac-12

    16 teams invited

    8 to the Sweet 16 (50%)

    3 to the Elite 8 (18.75%)

    1 to the Final 4 (6.25%)

    SEC

    32 teams invited

    12 to the Sweet 16 (37.5%)

    4 to the Elite 8 (12.5%)

    1 to the Final 4 (3.125%)

With more invites, the SEC has certainly been better at losing than the Pac.

Facts and data can just be so darn inconvenient sometimes.
