Yesterday, I got the distinct privelege of attending the UO men's basketball practice (so did Luke Jackson). I don't want to disclose too much, but the team looks like it has pieces to be very competitive in the B1G this year. One name to look for is Supreme Court. He will be a beast in the paint.

Against Illinois, Iuli was listed as “questionable” for the first time after being listed as being “out” all of the previous games.
Against Michigan, Iuli was not on the injury report and therefore is now presumably available. If healthy and in shape after so much missed time, he could definitely help.

I'm excited for the start of the hoop season. This team looks like it has size (not at much at Center as the recent past, but at the wing spots) and versatility. I'm thinking the Ducks basketball team might join the Ducks football team and make a splash in their inaugural season in the B1G.

Purely anecdotal, but when the Buckeyes were in town, I met a handful of their fans who said they bought season tickets and were confident that they were going to make $ by selling the tickets to the other game.

Absolutely agree with the premise of this article.
I’ve been thinking about how much easier it is to navigate the B1G as compared to the PAC. I agree the style of play is a major reason why. More specifically, the QB play was vastly superior in the PAC as compared to the B1G.
But I vehemently disagree with the following statement in the article: “The Pacific Northwest teams of Oregon and Washington may be strange for B1G foes with our cool weather at times and massive downpours of rain into November.” It NEVER rains at Autzen Stadium!

Thanks for posting, Cartm25. I recognize that there are much bigger problems in life, but one my big pet peeves is when people refer to The Duck as Puddles.

On Sunday, I went to the Duck mens' and womens' basketball showcase at West Linn High School and one of the players I wanted to see was Supreme and his absence was notable.
On a more postive note, I had a pleasant conversation with Coach Altman (mostly about the Ducks 2-3 matchup zone) and he seems optimistic about this year's team.

I like them. But what do I know? I’m the guy who will go out in sweats and a t-shirt.
Regardless, OBD could run out on the field wearing pink burlap sacks and I wouldn’t care at all as long as we win!
