  1. Bottom of the 7th; Mercado continues on the mound for Oregon. Colby Shade catches a long fly to deep center field. Tanner Smith runs down a fly ball to left field. Mercado walks the tenth OSU batter in the game. A single into left field puts two runners on base with two outs. A line drive into right/center is caught on the run by Anthony Hall to end the seventh inning. 0 Runs, 1 Hits, 0 Errors, 2 LOB Ducks 1 - Beavs 3 after seven innings.
  2. Top of the 7th inning; Josh Kasevich to bat for our Ducks. Josh gets on base with a line drive single to right field. A line drive single into left field by Anthony Hall gets runners at second and first with no outs. And Oregon has chased the OSU starting pitcher from the game. Colby Shade strikes out for the third time in the game. One out with two runners on base. Catcher Josiah Cromwick hitting and he goes down swinging for his third strike out tonight. It's up to Gavin Grant and he draws a free pass to load the bases. Tanner Smith in a big moment this game with the bases loaded and two out.   3. Last of the 6th; Logan Mercado will pitch to OSU. A line drive into right field puts the lead off batter on first base. A swinging strike out brings the first out in the bottom half of the inning. Catcher interference where the bat contacted the glove on a swing sends the batter to first base. Runners at second and first. A fly ball out to Anthony Hall in right field brings out number two, and the runner at second moving to third base. Mercado gets a called third strike to end the Beaver threat in the sixth inning. 0 Runs, 1 Hits, 1 Errors, 2 LOB Still 3-1 in favor of OSU
  4. 6th inning; Drew Cowley gets called out looking at a nasty slider. A fly ball to left field by Brennan Milone yields the second out. Jacob Walsh falls behind 1-2 before swinging at strike three. 0 Runs, 0 Hits, 0 Errors, 0 LOB
  5. Bottom of the 5th inning; Ciuffetelli continues on the mound for Oregon, and the lead off batter after falling behind in the count 1-2 gets on base via a walk. Oregon pitchers have walked eight batters and put a ninth on base via a hit batter. A wild pick off attempt a first base moves the runner to second base. A swinging strike out brings the first out for OSU. The next batter flies out to Colby Shade in center field. The ninth walk of the game puts runners at second and first base. A swinging strike out ends the fifth inning. 0 Runs, 0 Hits, 1 Errors, 2 LOB Ducks 1 - Beavs 3 through five innings.

The rain continues to fall as Gavin Grant is at the plate and he is punched out on a called third strike. Tanner Smith falls behind in the pitch count 1-2 before swinging and striking out. 0 Runs, 0 Hits, 0 Errors, 0 LOB
  7. Bottom of the 4th inning; Another lead off walk by RJ Gordon to the first batter. Gordon got ahead in the pitch count 1-2 before throwing three straight off the plate pitches to put runners at second and first with nobody out. A sacrifice bunt gets the first out but puts OSU runners at third and second. Gordon hits the next batter to load the bases. And the umpires are calling the players off the field due to heavy rain. Rain Delay in the bottom of the 4th inning with bases loaded and only one out. Beaver fans were booing the umpires for calling the rain delay, but it was the right call. There is no more classless fan base than at OSU baseball! Christian Ciuffetelli will relieve RJ Gordon and try to keep OSU from any of their base runners across the plate. And Ciuffetelli strikes out his first batter faced on a swing and a miss. And after getting ahead in the pitch count 1-2 Christian walks in a run. Another batter falls behind in count 1-2 but draws another walk to score a run. Ciuffetelli gets the third out on a swinging strike out, but OSU has scored two runs without a single hit. 2 Runs, 0 Hits, 0 Errors, 3 LOB Oregon 1 - OSU 3 after four innings.
  8. Top of the 4th inning; A lead off single through the left side of the infield places Jacob Walsh at first base with no outs. Josh Kasevich will try to get Walsh into scoring position, and works a full count before being called out looking. Walsh stole second base on the strikeout. With a runner in scoring position, Anthony Hall is caught looking at a slider for a called third strike. Colby Shade at the plate looking for a run scoring bingo, but strikes out swinging to end the top half of the inning. 0 Runs, 1 Hits, 0 Errors, 1 LOB
  9. Last of the 3rd inning; Gavin Grant roams to his right to glove a grounder up the middle and throw to Jacob Walsh at first base for out number one. A bloop single into short center field for the second Beaver batter. RJ Gordon continues to fall behind in the pitch count and walks the next batter on a 3-1 count. The second out comes on a foul ball behind the plate that Josiah Cromwick catches next to the screen. A swinging strike out on an 0-2 count(that is how to pitch!) brings the third out of the inning. 0 Runs, 1 Hits, 0 Errors, 2 LOB Game tied 1-1 after three innings.
  10. Third inning; First Oregon hitter is Josiah Cromwick who strikes out swinging. A 3-1 pitch count walks Gavin Grant on the next pitch. Tanner Smith hit a single through the right side of the infield to place runners at third and first bases. Drew Cowley hit a ball between the pitcher and first base to score Gavin Grant on a fielders choice and Tanner Smith advancing to second base. Brennan Milone hit a ground ball to shortstop and is thrown out at first base. 1 Runs, 1 Hits, 0 Errors, 1 LOB
  11. Last of the 2nd inning; Lead off batter is walked on a 3-2 pitch. A fly ball to left field is caught by Tanner Smith just in front of the warning track for the first out. The third batter for OSU lines a single through the right side of the infield to put runners at third and first with one out. A sacrifice bunt down the first base line scores the first run of the game. Pitching Coach Jake Angier to the mound, but sticking with RJ Gordon. The Beaver runner at second steals third base. Gavin Grant saves another run from scoring with a diving catch of a line drive back up the middle for the third out. 1 Runs, 1 Hits, 0 Errors, 1 LOB Ducks 0 - OSU 1 after two innings.
  12. Top of the 2nd inning; Josh Kasevich out on a nubber between the pitcher and third base for the first out. Anthony Hall hit a ground ball to the second baseman for the second out. A swinging strike out by Colby Shade sits the Ducks down in the second inning. 0 Runs, 0 Hits, 0 Errors, 0 LOB

A pop up to foul territory outside of first base is out number two. An excuse me swing results in a come back bouncer to Gordon who gets the third out a first base.   14. Still raining, but first pitch coming up. Tanner Smith flies out to left field. Second up for Oregon Drew Cowley, and he is hit by a pitch. Brennan Milone at bat with Cowley on first base. Milone quickly falls behind 0-2 and after fouling off a couple pitches takes a couple pitches off the plate before hitting a pop up out into shallow center field. Jacob Walsh back in the lineup after sitting out Tuesday's game.   15. "Possible" 8:15PM start of game. I have been monitoring weather radar, and it looks like this rain front has another half hour before it moves off to the east.
  16. Start of the game is currently in "rain delay", which is ironic considering ducks live mostly on the water and beavers live mostly in the water.
  17. The first game of a three game series. Yes, I know they have played the previous two Tuesday's! Those games didn't count in the Pac11(Colorado doesn't field a baseball squad) standings, but do count in the overall win/loss column. Confused yet? Last year Oregon took two of three games in Corvallis while sweeping the buck tooth varmints in Eugene. Beavis will be looking for revenge. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05PM at Goss Stadium in Corvallis. Possible thunderstorms are in the forecast, so let's hope the booms come from Duck bats!

The next hitter for OSU hit a homerun to left/center field. Colby Shade hit a grounder between third and shortstop for a single. Two on with one out for Josiah Cromwick. Beavers go to their bullpen ton pitch to Cromwick. Cromwick looks at four straight pitches off the plate to load the bases for Oregon. Gavin Grant at the plate for the Ducks with only one out, and he strikes out swinging for out number two. At the plate is Tyler Ganus with all the bases planted by Duck baserunners.
