To all players entering the portal, I wish you luck and good fortune wherever you land outside of Montlake.
I'm expanding my personal "no luck wished" list to include Columbus and Ann Arbor.

The excuse making about why UW's and Oregon's performances were so completely opposite against OSU in consecutive weeks are head spinning, but the favorite seems to be that the weather was poor last week in Corvallis.
They have a point, though. How can anyone expect a team from Seattle to know how to play when it's raining?

This rings true to me. I remember talk in previous years about the difficulty of recruiting top corners in part because of the flag-happy Pac officials.

Holy Toledo! What amazing stats!
A ton of red during the Cristobal years, and a lot of green the past two years under Lanning. Now I recognize that you are the one assigning colors, but in my world--rushing for 200 yards a game is pretty darn good. Ditto for scoring over 40 points per game, because not many teams can do that.
Fun to see--thanks.
Especially this week, we can all be thankful Miami fans are now seeing red.

Nice. Having the top two Pac teams ahead of the B12 two (Texas, OU) has huge implications if Oregon and Tex/OU both finish as a 1-loss conference champ!

Basically, SMU seems interested in a Pac invitation but is in wait-and-see mode until the media rights deal is complete. And whether or not it joins the Pac, SMU is well positioned to compete for CFP births due to the playoffs' new expanded format.
From the article:
QuoteFans would be more excited to see the Mustangs compete against the likes of Oregon, Washington, Utah and Arizona State than their current AAC mates, even if the Pac-12 is an awkward geographic fit. The travel challenges it would bring, particularly to non-football sports, aren’t insignificant.
But if conference realignment dominoes don’t fall in SMU’s favor, there’s still a path to elevated football relevance. The 12-team Playoff opens up an opportunity for a conference champion outside the power conferences because the six highest-ranked champions will qualify each year.

At this point is Wilcox even trying at Cal?
I'm so glad he's not not trying at Oregon.

He signed it, but has not transmitted it to Oregon by fax yet. Thus he could sign another school's LOI, send it in and it counts. First one received by the school..
Anyone else having flashbacks to the Alex Collins saga from a few years back?

Many parents want their children to go to a certain school, usually one close to home. So in that regard, Alex Collins' mother isn't... -
Unfortunately, it's not just an SEC problem. Did you get a load of the JV program Clemson played yesterday?

I'm not going to suggest that Lanning is shaving points....
But playing Thompson is what it would look like if he was.

One of Michigan State's 247 insider's is predicting Dante Moore to flip. So far none of the national or regional experts have followed suit.

Over the past two weeks, Miami faced Virginia and FSU teams that entered their Miami matchups with a combined record of 8-7. In each game, Miami registered more punting yards than total offense (308 to 273 vs UVA and 282 to 188 vs FSU). Excluding OT (where points are unearned and punts are impossible), Miami also had more punts than points in each game (8 to 6 and 6 to 3).

I was thinking about our WR room. We added Lowe but at this juncture no one else. By getting both Terrell and Florence I wonder if the plan is to use Tucker as a WR. He is listed as an athlete and a while ago was being discussed as a possible WR instead of CB.
Bryan Addison was recruited and played a season as a WR, so he could be another possibility.

Noah may have the ability, but with Lanning's background, I bet Noah never touches the rock, offensively.
Yep, although it would be fun to see him wreck LBs as a RB after doing the opposite so many times.

The NWMS page isn't big on internal consistency. The season summary has him at 4 games played in 2022, but elsewhere it shows him with carries in nine 2022 games, so I think that was likely a full season rather than a redshirt.
