Transfer Portal: Players of Interest
Pennsylvania Duck replied to Pennsylvania Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
This was originally posted by NJ Duck in another thread. "Former 5-star Georgia CB Jaheim Singletary could be interesting transfer target for Ducks." "Georgia Bulldogs true freshman cornerback Jaheim Singletary, a former 5-star commit from the 2022 class, announced that he would be entering the transfer portal and looking for a new school. Singletary committed to the Bulldogs as the No. 5 CB in the nation, and No. 27 overall player in the 2022 class." "This is interesting for Oregon fans for two reasons; the Ducks have a need to fill at the cornerback position, even after adding Alabama transfer Khyree Jackson earlier in the offseason, and Lanning has a relationship with Singletary already." Commitment Analysis: Jordan Burch is a Duck At 6'6", 275 pounds, Burch is a physical specimen, who one source described to me as "uber athletic". He's got long arms that will make it difficult for quarterbacks and ballcarriers to escape a tackle. Oregon's newest addition can get after the quarterback (40 QB pressures in '22), set the edge in the run game and has elite speed for a player of his size. With his athleticism also comes some positional versatility. Although he projects as a true defensive end that will likely play the 5 tech on the outside, you could add some weight to his frame and kick him inside at times to play a 3 tech between the guard and tackle. What Jordan Burch's Commitment Means for Oregon Football - Sports Illustrated Oregon Ducks News, Analysis and More WWW.SI.COM Dan Lanning and the Ducks reel in their biggest portal addition yet.

Oregon faces an improved and defensive-focused Sun Devil squad The Oregon Ducks (9-7) took a big step last Saturday with a road win over Utah. Now they can take another as they host Arizona State (13-3). Beat the Sun Devils, and the Ducks will claim another resume-building win and put the Ducks into a tie for fourth place in the Pac-12 standings. The Sun Devils come to town riding a two-game winning streak while also winning 11 of their last 13 games. Their only losses in that span were by 37 at San Francisco and by nine at home to Arizona. Its the best start for the Sun Devils through 16 games since the 2017-18 season, and their 4-1 start in league play is their best start since the 2007-08 season.
