If the coaches feel there is a scholarship available for DJ it means there is a need for DJ. I'll leave it in their hands.

    I agree with this...

However, do to my vast lack of experience and knowledge, I would prefer not to take him at this time.

Since I also root for the Beavs and Jonathan Smith, I wouldn't mind him going to Cornvalley. His team would be a rival to his brother's team, but they would be close enough to visit whenever they wanted.

New Years Day bowl.  A matchup of two major Conference Champions (if not in the playoffs). The 1st and oldest bowl. The  Los Angeles venue and all the TV market that entails. I admit, the CFB Playoffs have dented Bowl game values, but the really big ones, like the Rose Bowl and Orange Bowl will survive.  The NCAA has every reason to want to see that happen.

But regardless of how one feels about bowl games, the Pac-12 has every reason why it should survive as a Power 5 Conference and just because USC and UCLA bolted for the Midwest conference that doesn't mean the Pa-12c has to fold - unless the Conference itself decides to fold and I can't see any reason on Earth why they'ed want that.

Furthermore, EVERYONE watches the Rose Bowl.

I want to hold out hope TT can turn the corner but watching him lead the O is pretty disheartening. We need the QB whisperer. Maybe Will Stein will be that guy.

What I am hoping is that TT hasn't already begun to doubt himself. That seems to be what happened to Tyler Shough.

Hopefully Will Stein can turn his head around and make him a leader of Oregon men.

At this spot in the NIL/ Portal road I sadly think that the phrase to keep in mind is, money changes everything.

This is why I think it is great that Uncle Phil will be meeting with recruits this weekend. He's not going to promise them the moon. He's going to be frank about what is reasonable and all the ways that being involved with Oregon and Nike can help them further their future.

    So this an online auction?

Somewhat sad. Makes me wonder if a person who does this will leave as soon as a bigger paycheck is flashed somewhere else.

It seems to me that greater considerations for choosing a school would be 1) how well will they prepare me for the next level, 2) does the school/team seem like a place that I can fit in well?, and 3) what does my family think of my choice?

If, after these considerations Dickey decided to commit to Oregon, why not just make a card for Oregon fans?

If these considerations don't put one of the schools in a clear lead, I suppose the recruit could justify this by asking, How much do the fans want me to come? Of course, this is only a one time monetary gain. I wouldn't think that it would offset a difference in 3-4 years of NIL money.

  6. Go with Bo.

TT was put into the BYU game in the third quarter to get meaningful minutes and everyone criticized the move when he didn't produce.

TT started the second half of the Utah game to get meaningful minutes and everyone criticized the move when he didn't produce.

The Bowl Game is a meaningful game.

as stated above, Bo's last chance and he deserves it...

getting 10 wins in a season is MUCH better that getting 9 (an important perception)...

PAC 12 relevance and respect for next year starts this bowl season. There are 5 PAC teams in the top

25 and those 5 teams need to SHOW UP for their bowl games because the country is watching. If

those 5 teams go 0-5 all the biased people will say, "I told you so."

We have been down that road, and hopefully aren't on that one again. How long will Dion last at Colorado?

Mel Tucker lasted 15 months, anyone care to guess if Dion last less or more?

I think there needs to be a term for coaches like this, maybe a temporizer? They are certainly opportunists, but I like the term temporizer, as we all know they will only be there temporarily.

Might be what Colorado needs to get over the hump, as Oregon did fairly well with a couple temporizers.

I don't think Deion Sanders is a Mel Tucker kind of guy. I'm kind of surprised that he left Jackson State.

Why didn't he leave there after one year of miracle working if he just wants some stepping stones???

We don't know what his goals are.

    Let's keep our chins up!

  8. As disturbed as the entire fan base is with the performance of the defense this year, I am 100% certain that DL is even more disturbed.

There is no way he is going to run away and hide from this. He is going to face the challenge head on and fix it... no matter what it takes. He is used to leading the best defense in the nation. Is he going to be satisfied with anything less than top 10?

I am not a gambling man, but I´d bet my bottom dollar on the answer to that question.
