Know the Schedule: Next Week a Busy One for Football

Recommended Posts

Saturday marked the conclusion of summer workouts, and with it came the annual trek to the summit of Spencer's Butte to commemorate Spencer Webb.

A good portion of Oregon's football roster is now enjoying time away from Eugene. After a full offseason of strength and conditioning, this week provides down time to be with family and friends back home before the schedule spikes in just a few days time.

Many of those who remain in Eugene will be on hand to support Oregon's staff this Saturday for the program's Saturday Night Live (SNL) camp inside Autzen Stadium. More details will be shared once the event grows closer.

Since its inception under Willie Taggart in 2018, the event has acted as the school's the premier summer recruiting event. It will feature many of the program's top targets in the 2024, 2025 and 2026 classes.

Instruction during the day will be led Oregon's coaching staff, providing the recruits unique access to Division-1 training, and coaches opportunity to further relationships with top targets.

Oregon will hold its own media day a few days later on July 31. Head coach Dan Lanning and quarterback Bo Nix are expected to speak first in a traditional press conference format before approximately 40 members of Oregon's team will field questions in a small group setting.

Fall camp will begin shortly after that. The first day of practice is set for next Wednesday (Aug. 2), and will provide media members their first glimpses of this year's team in full. Given that nearly two-dozen scholarship players have joined the program since spring, the first week of fall will feature many new faces.

Fall camp will run through the month of August before the team opens the 2023 season on Sept. 2 with a home game against Portland State.

Before you know it, football will be back...

Thanks for posting this, a fun read. Of course the opener against Portland State is Saturday, September 2 not September 5 as stated in the article. GO DUCKS! 38 days to kickoff!

Oregon Football Saturday Night Live Visitor List

The Ducks are ramping things back up on the recruiting trail with one of their biggest recruiting events of the year.

Fall camp is just one week away for Dan Lanning and the Oregon Football program.

Before that starts though, the Ducks are holding their annual Saturday Night Live camp. A lot of top targets and commits will flock to Eugene on Saturday for the camp, which is the biggest recruiting event of the year for Oregon aside from the spring game.

Oregon has a great collection of talent in the 2024 class and is still working to add to that group. They'll host multiple top uncommitted targets this weekend and even push further ahead into the 2025 and 2026 classes.

Here's an early look at who's expected to visit Oregon. We will continue to work on confirming names and updating this list.

Thanks for the posts, guys.  It's great to be getting back to the game.  I think we're all a little tired of the incessant noise about conference realignment affecting OBD.
