Twitter Reaction: Top recruits have rave reviews for Oregon's Saturday Night Live

One of the biggest recruiting days of the year took place for the Oregon Ducks over the weekend, with Dan Lanning and the Oregon coaching staff hosting several dozen high school prospects for the annual Saturday Night Live camp in Autzen Stadium.

Some of the top prospects in the nation, both committed and uncommitted, flocked to Oregon for a visit to the Ducks and a skills camp that allowed coaches to evaluate their abilities. A handful of offers went out after the camp, and a couple of commitments came in for the Ducks, including one from 4-star WR Adrian Wilson, the No. 85 player in the 2025 class.

Unsurprisingly, the reviews from recruits has been extremely positive, with many of them taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to post photos and videos from the day.

Here are some of the best reactions we’ve seen...

Four-star 2024 running back Jason Brown, 4-star 2025 cornerback Blake Woodby standout at Oregon’s Saturday Night Live camp

Four-star 2024 running back Jason Brown of Washington’s O’Dea High School and four-star 2025 cornerback Blake Woodby of St. Frances Academy in Baltimore each had strong showings among their respective position groups at Autzen Stadium.

The No. 11 running back in the class of 2024 in the 247Sports Composite, Brown is ranked the No. 2 player in Washington and long been considered among the top players in the region. He again showed the explosiveness and mobility that makes him a target for Oregon, Washington, Michigan State, Louisville, Alabama and USC among others.

Woodby has multiple interceptions and defended several wide receivers well, getting overly aggressive and holding at times, but was one of the best defenders in coverage during one-on-one matchups. He and St. Frances Academy teammate Kevyn Humes were among a talented group of cornerbacks that also included 2026 prossect Brandon Lockhart of Loyola High in Los Angeles and West Linn’s Josiah Molden, a 2027 prospect and Oregon legacy who already has a UO offer.

Instant Reaction: Saturday Night Live

And just like that SNL has come to a close. This years event had a little different feel overall. I would say it was one of the smaller crowds yet in terms of fans in the stands. But it’s also never been an especially massive event in Eugene so far. Perhaps that might change one day.

This years group felt different too however. It lacked some of the pure firepower we’ve seen at this event before. However I will say there were a number of times today I’d look at a kid and look him and see he was a 2025 or 2026 recruit. And think to myself, kids shouldn’t look like that at that age. Meaning, the underclassmen were probably far better than any other camp I’ve been to yet.

Dan Lanning does a really good job ‘touching tables’ at this event. If you don’t know the term, it’s the equivalent of a restaurant manager going around at dinner and personally greeting all of the guests at their tables. He doesn’t just sit at the DL or LB groups, he’s very active walking around and nearly always with his chief of staff, Marshall Malchow. Watching and discussing prospects at all positions.

With that in mind, here are some instant reactions from myself and Jarrid Denney on what we saw in the 90 (ish) minute camp Saturday night.

We’ll have a little more tomorrow after hearing back from some of our sources.

Nope.  I let the other sites cover it, and I thought they did a good job.  Fun to read about some prospects…
