Oregon Ducks vs. Washington Huskies odds: Early point spread released for Pac-12 Championship Game

Ā

It will be a much-anticipated rematch ofĀ OregonĀ andĀ WashingtonĀ in the Pac-12 Championship Game on Friday night in Las Vegas. The undefeated Huskies clinched a berth in Week 12 and the one-loss Ducks secured a spot with a Black Friday win on rivalry weekend.

Ā

And a red-hot Oregon team is favored to win the rematch over Washington, opening as a 7.5-point favorite for the neutral site game,Ā according toĀ FanDuel. The over/under is not yet set

The Pac-12's final championship game in the league's current formatĀ will pit a pair of playoff contenders against each other in a rematch.

Ā

How to watch Washington vs. Oregon in the Pac-12 Championship Game

Ā

Time: Dec. 1, 7:00 p.m. ET
Channel: FOX,Ā FuboTVĀ (streaming)
Location: Las Vegas

Ā

The second edition of this rivalry game has been in the offing since Washington defeated Oregon, 36-33, in Seattle in mid-October. But both teams needed to run a gauntlet of ranked teams to get there — Oregon needing to avoid a second loss to stay in College Football Playoff contention.

Ā

But the Ducks have been dominant since that day, winning each of the final six games by at least two scores. The closest margin of victory for Oregon in the second half of the season was a nine-point win overĀ USCĀ on Nov. 11.Ā

Ā

And to finish 11-1 and clinch a spot in the conference championship game on Friday, Oregon beat down rival and Top 25-rankedĀ Oregon State, 31-7.Ā

Ā

The Huskies have had closer calls, but have managed to stay undefeated. Opposite the dominance of the Ducks, Washington played three one-score games and hasn’t won by more than 10 since playing Oregon. An Apple Cup showdown againstĀ Washington StateĀ to end the season provides the Huskies one last chance to roll up and opponent before playing for a conference title.Ā

Ā

It’s also a game that should feature elite quarterback play, much like the first matchup.Ā

Ā

That game — a 36-33 thriller — saw Washington’sĀ Michael PenixĀ complete 22-of-37 passes for 302 yards and four touchdowns. Oregon’sĀ Bo NixĀ countered that showing with a 33-of-34 showing for 337 yards and two touchdowns in one of the most exciting games of the year.

Ā

Now, they’ll get ready to square off once again, this time atĀ Allegiant StadiumĀ in Las Vegas. The winner likely heading to the CFP as a result, and potentially one or both quarterbacks will be going to New York for the Heisman ceremony.Ā

Ā

Add in the conference title at stake, and not much more could be on the line on Friday night in Las Vegas.

Oregon players excited for opportunity to enact revenge on Washington

Ā

Fifth-ranked Oregon will receive it chance to avenge its only loss of the season this Friday when it meets No. 3 Washington in Las Vegas in the Pac-12 Championship Game.

Ā

The Ducks will have revenge on the mind when they roll into Sin City later this week.

Ā

After dispatching of one rival on Friday, knocking out a second this Friday would square up a pair of recent losses while likely sending them to the College Football Playoff too.

Ā

"I'm pretty sure everybody knows that playing UW, just like it was playing OSU tonight, it's personal," wide receiver Tez Johnson said following the 31-7 victory over the Beavers. "It's personal with every team we play, but UW and Oregon State are the main two teams we want to beat."

Ā

This week's rematch has acted as the team's carrot since the Oct. 14 loss in Seattle. Defensive lineman Jordan Burch says it "kept [the Ducks] balanced" and stopped them from getting "complacent".Ā

Ā

"I think after what happened at Washington, we've practiced really hard," quarterback Bo Nix said in agreement. "That would've happened regardless of the result of that game, but I think that on top of everything else, it adds a chip on your shoulder...

Early betting odds for Pac-12 Championship Game between No. 5 Oregon and No. 3 Washington

Ā

Betting odds have been dropped between No. 3 Washington and No. 5 Oregon for the Pac-12 Championship, which airs on Friday at 5 PM on ABC.

Ā

Oregon remained victorious in the final regular season game of the 2023 season against Oregon State, taking revenge from a season ago. The Ducks moved to 11-1 on the season and clinched a Pac-12 Championship Game berth against No. 3 Washington.

Ā

Washington ended its season with an Apple Cup victory over Washington State, 24-21, with a game-winning field goal as time expired to clinch an undefeated regular season for the first time in Pac-12 history.

Ā

Oregon's lone loss of the season came in week six of the regular season, losing 36-33 as Camden Lewis' game-tying attempt sailed wide right as time expired. The Ducks have gone on a rampage since the loss, winning each game by an average margin of 26 points.

Ā

Now, the two programs meet with a trip to the College Football Playoffs on the line in Las Vegas for the final championship game in Pac-12 history.

Gary Bryant Jr. 'in good shape' to play vs. UW, status less clear with others

Ā

Ā Dan Lanning expects wide receiver Gary Bryant Jr. to be available to play in Friday's Pac-12 Championship game. The status of injured cornerbacks Jahlil Florence and Rodrick Pleasant is less clear.

Ā

ā€œHe’s out there and getting better," Lanning said of the starting wideout. "I think we’ll be in good shape to have him this weekend."

Ā

Bryant was pulled down awkwardly by Oregon State defensive back Kitan Oladapo during the second half of Saturday's 31-7 win over the Beavers.

Ā

The junior remained on the ground for several moments and then needed assistance from medical personnel to leave the playing field. He was unable to put any weight on his left foot.

Ā

That first down grab acted as his only reception of the night. Bryant has made 26 catches for 380 yards and three touchdowns this season.

Lanning provided fewer details on Florence and Pleasant's chances of facing Washington this weekend in Las Vegas.

Ā

ā€œI’m expecting us to have some of those guys back," he said. "We’ll have to wait and see as the week progresses. That’s kind of the way it goes at this point of the season."

Ā

Florence had started the team's first 11 games of the season before being held out of Friday's win. Pleasant saw the field in five games before missing the last two games. The specifics of each injury remains unclear at this time...

3 Reasons Why The Oregon Ducks Will Defeat The Washington Huskies In The Pac-12 Championship Game

Ā

Next Friday, Oregon will get its chance to avenge its only loss of the season and possibly punch its ticket to the College Football Playoff.Ā

Ā

The Oregon Ducks will once again do battle with the Washington Huskies. Ā  On Oct 14th, the Washington Huskies defeated the Oregon Ducks 36-33. Ā

Ā

However, the Oregon Ducks did not shrink in the wake of this defeat. They have become stronger and more dominant ever since that game.Ā

Ā

The latest example of Oregon’s surging momentum was their 31-7 shellacking of the Oregon State Beavers. As predicted, Oregon State’s offense simply could not handle the defense of the Oregon Ducks.

Ā

Ever since the loss to Washington, Oregon has defeated their last six opponents by an average of 26 points per game. Ā Ā

Ā

On the other hand, Washington has not had the easiest journey ever since they defeated Oregon. Their last margin of victory in their last six games has been by an average of 6.5 points.Ā

Ā

The only double-digit victory that Washington has had was over USC. On Saturday, the Washington Huskies needed a last-second FG to beat the 5-win Washington State Huskies.

Ā

Oregon’s like a runaway freight train at the moment. They are the most formidable one-loss team in the nation. I believe that they will get their revenge on the Washington Huskies and win the Pac-12 championship.Ā

Ā

I will give three reasons why Oregon will defeat Washington in this piece...

Oregon Ducks vs UW Huskies football tickets price for Pac-12 Championship: Cost for cheapest, most expensive seats

Ā

Tickets for the 2023 Pac-12 Football Championship GameĀ between the No. 5 ranked Oregon Ducks and the No. 3 ranked Washington HuskiesĀ are currently cheaper than you might think. However, if you want to watch the game in style,Ā the price for premium seats for this showdownĀ can be astronomical considering it will likely be the last football championship game in the conference’s storied history.

Ā

You canĀ buy tickets online now through Vivid Seats,Ā Stub HubĀ orĀ Ticketmaster. Through a special arrangement, if you areĀ purchasing tickets for the first time through Vivid Seats, use our special discount promo code ā€œOregon20″ at checkout to save $20 on orders of $200 or more for the event you plan on attending.

Ā
For example, a single seat in the nosebleeds at Allegiant Stadiumis currently selling for just over $40Ā for theĀ Ducks game against the HuskiesĀ on Friday, December 1. That’s without any fees and service charges, and that’s for the nosebleeds near the very top of the stadium. How much willĀ Ducks vs. Huskies tickets in other sections cost? Here’s a look at what it will cost you for the best seats currently available.
Ā
If money is no object and you want to sit behind the Oregon Ducks bench, you can buy seats at the 50 yard line in the lower bowlĀ where the price per seat starts at around $620 and goes all the way up to roughly $2,000Ā per ticket. The most expensive seats in the houseĀ are in Section C112, Row 30 and are selling for $57,432Ā per seat. Tickets in the suites and ā€œLoge Levelā€Ā are selling for anywhere from $569 to $621 per seatĀ before any fees.
Ā
Prices may fluctuate for this championship title matchup, but with the media firestorm surrounding this game and national interest around who might earn a trip to the College Football Playoff, it appears those prices may rise leading up to kickoff. Grab your seats now if you planning on being in Nevada this weekend and want any chance of catching the game.

No. 5 Oregon takes aim at No. 3 Washington in Pac-12 title game

Ā

The final Pac-12 championship game has it all.

Ā

An undefeated team. Two top Heisman candidates. The nation’s best two passing attacks. A rematch of a regular-season thriller. A heated regional rivalry. And the winner essentially punches a ticket to the College Football Playoff.

Ā

No. 3 Washington (12-0) and No. 5 Oregon (11-1) — two programs headed to the Big Ten in 2024 — will meet Friday night in Las Vegas, where a spot in the CFP and the Heisman race could be decided in the Pac-12’s high-profile swan song.

Ā

And here’s one more twist: The Huskies, who won the regular-season meeting 36-33 at home on Oct. 14, were staggering 9.5-point underdogs early in the week.

Ā

The reason for that is mostly because the Ducks have surged to six consecutive wins, lead the nation in scoring differential (plus-29.33), and are one of three teams nationally in the top 10 in scoring (second, 45.3 points per game) and scoring defense (seventh, 15.9)...

Ducks preparing for improved performance in second meeting with Washington

Ā

Oregon players offered thoughts on where they think the Ducks must play better this time around against Washington.

Ā

While a few plays will be remembered most from the first time the Ducks and Huskies met this season, there's more than a few areas the Ducks are striving to improve upon in the rematch.

Ā

Oregon's offense amassed 541 yards and scored 33 points the last time these teams met. No team has gained more yards on Washington and only USC has scored more points.

Ā

Still, Bo Nix can't help but nitpick the execution on several of the game's most crucial downs.

Ā

A trio of failed fourth down conversions have been especially hard not to dwell on...

8 major questions for Oregon Ducks to answer in Pac-12 title game vs. Washington

Ā

The entire back-half of the season has seemingly been leading up to this for the Oregon Ducks and Washington Huskies. Ever since that Week 7 thriller in early October gave us one of the best games of the year — a 36-33 Washington win in Seattle — there was hope for most that these two teams would meet again in the Pac-12 Championship Game in Las Vegas.

Ā

That meeting has been set, and the eyes of the college football world will descend on Allegiant Stadium for a matchup that will send one team to the College Football Playoff, and potentially crown a Heisman Trophy winner as well.

Ā

With a loss to Washington the last time these two played, what needs to change for Oregon this time around? What do they need to do differently, and what questions do they need to answer on Friday night?

Ā

We’ve got some that have bubbled to the surface.

Ā

Here are our biggest questions for Friday and the ensuing Saturday games as well...

How should we assess Dan Lanning and the Ducks so far on eve of Pac-12 title game?

Ā

The Oregon Ducks are just a mere day away from taking on the Washington Huskies in the 2023 Pac-12 Championship game, which will be the last game that is ever played in the Pac-12 Conference.

Ā

In general, the season has been a massive success thus far, and if not for a slip-up on the road against the Huskies earlier in the year, Oregon would likely be viewed as one of the top-ranked teams in the nation right now.

Ā

So how should we assess how Dan Lanning has molded this group over the past couple of seasons and gotten them into this position?

Ā

To answer that question, we talked with Warren Williamson of Oregon Duck Football News to get a deeper look into the team...

Five keys to the Pac-12 Championship Game: No. 5 Oregon vs. No. 3 Washington

Ā

It's the day before the day, so it's time to identify some keys for No. 5 Oregon's rematch with No. 3 Washington (12-0, 9-0) in the Pac-12 Championship Game.

Ā

The Ducks (11-1, 8-1) will be playing for vengeance for a second straight week, but much more than that as well. A win would earn the program its first Pac-12 crown since 2020, and would likely send them to the College Football Playoff for the first time in a decade too.

Ā

Washington has not lost this season. The Huskies became the first school in the conference to do so since the league expanded to 12 teams in 2011.

Ā

Oregon is currently 9.5-point favorites for this game. Kickoff is set for 5 PM from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas and will be aired on ABC.

Oregon might always be flashy, but under Dan Lanning, the Ducks are playing tough
Ā

"DO PEOPLE THINK Oregon and think tough?"

Ā

An animated Dan Lanning stands in the front of the Oregon team room asking his entire team the rhetorical question.

Ā

It's the eighth week of the season and a 7-1 Ducks team is headed to Salt Lake City where it'll face a Utah team that's won 30 straight games at home and whose "national narrative," as Lanning puts it, is one of being tough to beat.

Ā

"What's the narrative on us?" Lanning continues. "Flashy."

Ā

Oregon, with its Nike partnership, history of teams with offensive firepower and equally bold uniforms, has come to represent a certain kind of football, a certain kind of program, over the years.

Ā

Whether you want to define it as flashy or otherwise, it's no secret that effective marketing combined with success has turned the Ducks into a national brand. What that brand is exactly depends on who you ask.

Ā

"People don't think you're tough?" Lanning asks.

Ā

All you have to do is watch Lanning speak -- sometimes yell -- to realize he cuts against that very grain. And all you have to do is watch Oregon these past two seasons to realize that very same approach Lanning embodies has permeated throughout the program.

Ā

"He's developed a culture of toughness," offensive coordinator Will Stein told ESPN. "I mean his program's built on toughness, mental and physical."...

With a transition to the Big Ten looming, Dan Lanning has helped Oregon create a new identity for itself.

No. 5 Oregon vs. No. 3 Washington: Ducks close as two-score favorites in Pac-12 title game

Ā

This is the game that everyone has been asking for since the afternoon of October 14th.

Ā

It hasn’t just been fans of the Oregon Ducks and Washington Huskies that have been hoping that a rematch would take place after the electric 36-33 finish back in Week 7, but the college football world as a whole.

Ā

Early on, the betting line for this game opened with the Ducks as sizeable favorites, projected to win by a little bit more than a touchdown, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Since then, the line has grown in favor of the Ducks.

Ducks Wire Roundtable: Predictions for No. 5 Oregon vs. No. 3 Washington in Pac-12 Title

Ā

Sometimes in life you just get lucky. That goes for sports as well. Earlier this year, we got lucky with the fact that the game between the Oregon Ducks and Washington Huskies was among the best of the year.

Ā

We also got lucky with the fact that both of those team took care of business from that point in the season on, and now we are just a mere hours away from watching them square off again, this time for the last-ever Pac-12 Championship, and a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Ā

For one of these teams, the luck is about to run out, though, and the season is going to come to an end on Friday night.

Ā

Which team will it be? That’s what we’re here to try and predict. To preview the game, we go through our weekly roundtable with the writers from Ducks Wire.

Here’s our Pac-12 Championship edition roundtable of the year...

No. 5 Oregon Clashes With No. 3 Washington in the Pac-12 Championship

Ā

The Ducks smell blood in the water ahead of Friday night's game in Las Vegas.

Ā

No. 5 Oregon (11-1, 8-1 in Pac-12 play) will have to beat the only team they’ve lost to all season, No. 3 Washington (12-0, 9-0 in Pac-12 play), in order to clinch a college football playoff berth for the first time since 2014.

Ā

This will be the first top-five matchup in the historic rivalry between these two programs and the first time both teams are playing each other for a Pac-12 Championship. Oregon is 4-1 in Pac-12 Championship games, while Washington is 2-0.

Ā

The only other time two top-five ranked Pac-12 teams faced each other in a Pac-12 Championship was in 1976 between No. 3 USC and No. 2 UCLA, a game the Trojans won 24-14.

Ā

Since Oregon’s 36-33 loss to Washington in October, the Ducks have won six straight games while averaging a point differential of 26 points.

Ā

In the loss, the Ducks failed to convert on key fourth downs and missed field goals which ultimately resulted in a three-point loss to the Huskies.

Ā

ā€œI just think the whole operation as far as making explosive plays, staying on the field on fourth downs,ā€ quarterback Bo Nix said. ā€œI think that's where, you know, ultimately we lost last time. And I think we have been more prepared now.ā€...

Top storylines for Oregon's Pac-12 championship showdown with Washington

Ā

Revenge. Vengeance. The entire Oregon program has known that this day was coming.

Ā

The trip to the Pac-12 championship was always still in place after the Ducks fell short in that 36-33 heartbreak against the rival Huskies back in October. That hard-fought showdown foreshadowed what many assumed would be the eventual conference title game.

Ā

A back-and-forth contest with a couple of failed risky decisions meant the game relied on Camden Lewis to send it into overtime. The struggling senior kicker missed from 43 yards out and the anticipation started then for the Ducks wanting another shot at the Huskies.

Ā

Both teams have won out since that game but by vastly different margins.

Ā

The Ducks took that loss on the chin but did not hang a head. Instead, it was an improvement in effort, intensity and mindset that helped Oregon on its dominant six-game win streak. The average margin of victory during the span was 26 points.

Meanwhile, Washington started facing some struggles...

Jon Gold: The Ultimate Pac-12 Championship Preview

Ā

Everything you need to know about Friday night’s Pac-12 Championship Game showdown between No. 3 Washington and No. 5 Oregon.

Ā

The first time they met was arguably the national game of the year.

Ā

Now as No. 3 Washington and No. 5 Oregon get set to square off the for the Pac-12 championship and likely the College Football Playoff berth that would emerge from it, it just may be the matchup of the century in the dying conference.

Ā

What a way to go out.

Ā

The 2 top teams in what was the country’s best conference from top to bottom, vying for the rarest of rare chances to compete for the national championship, a pursuit that has eluded the Pac-12 since the Huskies made it in 2016, 2 years after the Ducks went to the title game for the 2nd time in 5 years.

Ā

They were separated by just 3 points and 3 ill-timed and poorly executed 4th down calls the last time they met, in Seattle for Washington’s 36-33 win. Calling it back-and-forth is an insult to see-saws. It was brutal. It was fun. It was innovative.

Ā

It was a matchup made in heaven: Two terrific head coaches in Dan Lanning and Kalen DeBoer. Two brilliant offensive kinds in Will Stein and Ryan Grubb. Two all-time quarterbacks in Bo Nix and Michael Penix Jr.

Ā

And now they’ll meet to decide it all. At stake is nothing less than a legacy, along with Pac-12 bragging rights for all eternity, not to mention one heck of a leg up as both teams head to the Big Ten next year.

Ā

Oh, and there’s that pesky Heisman matchup to weigh, as Nix can put the finishing touches on his brilliant campaign with a decisive performance against the Huskies, while Penix can remind voters who was on top of the rankings for much of the year.

Ā

So, yeah, there’s a lot at stake.

Ā

Let’s dive in to this extra-special tale of the tape…
