    It's not easier in Boise than in LA. 5* recruit Nelson will not start for Boise in the Broncos Week 2 visit to Autzen.

    This is a big surprise at Boise State. Malachi Nelson won’t be QB1, a least at the start of the season.

     

     Boise is the G5 Playoff favorite in many preseason polls. This unexpected situation likely moves Memphis up to the G5 front-runner.  Liberty's schedule did not cost the Flames in 2023 but I believe it will do so (at least I hope) in 2024. The Boise QB starter, Maddux Madsen, has played well as the backup.
