I Tell Ya, I Finally Got Some Respect!😁

SATURDAYTRADITION.COM

Four Big Ten teams -- including the top 2 -- found their way inside the initial set of Playoff rankings. No conference had more.

4 of the top 8. SEC with 4 in the top 12, but 8 SEC teams are ranked including Misery.

SEC Sort It Out Somewhat Saturday. No. 3 UGA at No. 16 Ole Miss and No. 11 Bama at No. 15 LSU. Ole Miss, Bama, and LSU would have their third loss and most likely be playoff over and out.

The winner of South Carolina at Vandy should be ranked in the top 25.

Keep an eye on Florida at Texas with Florida QB Lagway healthy for the game.

Oh, and don't miss FSU at Notre Dame. 😁

Interim Rankings Make an 'Impossible' Job More Difficult.

The Committee erred in ranking Texas No. 3 based on the Eye Test. Texas has no current top-25 wins and was destroyed at home by two-loss Georgia. The Dawgs have a better Strength of Record than the 1-loss Longhorns.

Now with the resurrection of Carson Beck (at least in Week 12) Georgia's impressive victory over No. 7 Tennessee places the Committee in a tough spot. 😁 Do wins against nothing-burger opponents mean more than a home loss? If this is the case, why not play the easiest schedule possible? The Committee's rankings to date reflect the BCS era More Than One Loss and you're out days.

IMO, the Grapevine Gurus deserve to be hoist on their own Eye Test petard. Do you think ESPN can objectively cover the Committee's rankings?

Look, I know this is all about "subjectivity" but am becoming just a wee bit concerned with the "talkin' heads" (especially ESPN); seemingly starting to "spin" conference strength, viability, and overall quality in a manner that appears to be modeled after the way that "the subject that shall remain unnamed" has been "spun" to the masses the past quarter century.

I follow athletics, especially college athletics, to have a "safe place" to retreat away from all the 🐂💩, that is constantly fed to Us, ad nauseum.  It really "pisses me off" to see the same "narratives" starting to also creep into and be pushed in my escapee activities.

The world is NOT black & white, but in fact mostly gray.  STOP trying to make everything about us vs them, you vs me,  right vs wrong(?) and let us fans "enjoy" the product we so love to immerse ourselves in WITHOUT it being another tool to help sway the masses.

Let us be free from it all, Please!

I just want to watch OBD bring home a Natty without any narratives outside of the game, athletes, and coaches.

Let's GO DUCKS!

MicroBurst61,,,,since you made a plea against the process used by media in politics...your post remains, and I thank you for your careful wording of it.

Whether people agree or disagree with your contention--it is a valid opinion to offer, just as a contrary one would be. But rather than debate the "model" ESPN uses to shamelessly promote the SEC, we can just acknowledge the obvious bias and move on.

Let's stay on sports, even if topic is in a very oblique fashion referring to the "the topic that shall not be named."  (Because it creates more work for me)

Ducks and the Playoff—Week 13. This is a good take, but Come On, Man! The higher-seeded teams Do Not have a bowl game choice in the second Round.

ROSE - B1G/ SUGAR - SEC/ PEACH - ACC/ FIESTA - B12 or Boise.

This has all been disclosed. Are these writers dense or lazy?

BTW, SMU is in the ACC, not the B12 or the Mountain West. SMH!
