WEEK 12 - The B1G Reveal - The Maybe Conference Champ Games + Tradition Edition

Recommended Posts

JUST WIN BABY! It's Week 12 on the way to identifying The Delightful Dozen via a Fool Proof Method!

The same method I used with my kids: BECAUSE I SAID SO!

Don't you just love subjectivity unexplained?

NEXT CASE!

1861 - Governor Alexander Randall provided land in Madison, Wisconsin, the state capital, to be used as a training camp for Union Army soldiers. 60,000 Union soldiers were trained at Camp Randall.

An estimated 1,000 Confederate soldiers were held in Camp Randall: the 120 who died there are buried in their own small graveyard in Madison.

After the war developers planned to build houses on the land but Civil War veterans strenuously objected to the Camp being converted into homes and prevented the site from being used for development.

There is Nothing New Under the Sun.

The first stadium constructed on the site in 1914 sat 7,500 fans. Today, Camp Randall, the 5th oldest B1G stadium (Only 5th!), sits 76,118 fanatics and its structure is tested when the fans Jump Around at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

1. The history and tradition of the B1G Ten is No. 1 and that's a fact Jack!

8 - A trip to Mad City and Camp Randall mercifully concludes OBD's 8 P4 games in a row.

3 - Danno who has laid off this season using the whip at the 3rd Quarter Pole, unleashed a 290 pound 'He Won't Bend Burch Behemoth' against a bunch of shell-shocked Turtles.

179 - An O-line back up, Gernorris Wilson, caught the TD pass that put Gabe at the top of the all-time college QBs total TD heap. Hats off to Gabriel Dillon. Son, blow your horn.

2 - Point conversion. Why not call on OT John Connerly, Jr. to blast the ball into the end zone.

7 of 8 - THIS Kind of Stuff Makes Football FUN in the grind of being the only P4 team in 2024 to play 8 games is row without a break. With opponent 7 and 8 coming off an Off Week. 😒

12/9/24 - Trip to NYC? Book It Danno! Will it be Roses the day before on 12/8?

6 Out of 10 - Show Up Effort versus the Terps. IT Happens. But it was Never in Doubt. I did not show up at work every day at a Perfect 10. Have any of us ever done so? OK, maybe Charles?

A Week 12 P4 Conference Championship Game Guess.

The P4 champ games will be played on 12/7 - The day before College Football's 12/8/2024 Committee Final Reveal Day of Infamy.

A Guess at the P4 Champ Games.

ACC - No. 9 Miami 😁vs. No. 14 SMU - My Cristo Ball says: Et Tu SMU? Mario - 'We will learn so much from this!"

B12 - The No. 17 Prime Time's vs the No. 6 Who Knew, BYU. Preseason Polls had these two scooping up Ralphie and Cougar scat.

SEC - THIS is a WAG. In 2024, no conference has beaten the whey out of itself like the SEC. And with the disparate SEC in-conference strength-of-schedules at least one two-loss SEC team will feel the pain on 12/8/24.

No. 10. Alabama vs No. 15 Texas A+M - THIS means that A+M defeats a Texas team that was trashed by UGA. A Texas team with 1 win over a Power 4 team, Vanderbilt. (Vanderbilt😒) Indiana has played No One but Texas?

B1G - OBD vs Ohio State - Ducks win in the 2nd of 3 matchups in The Battle of the Os in 2024/25. See you Brutus in the Cotton or Orange Bowl.

Streaks - Good and Bad -

124 - Miami's Penalty Ranking before the loss at Georgia Tech.

271 - rushing yards given up by the Canes MIA D vs. Georgia Tech.

Null Set - How does a coach go from burying talented QBs to handing the keys to a talented QB while continuing to play down to the comp and asking The Guy to put his uni on in a phone booth?

126 - Years before Indiana won 10 games in a season. The cherry on top? The Football Hoosiers are 10-0. Cigs all around!

2016 - Last time Nebraska went bowling.

$10 Million - Paid to a guy who may not go bowling this season. 😒

1. Mighty Man of Oregon - A guy who played ball for OBD and was a College Football and NFL winning coach and a heck of a guy.

RIP - John Robinson.

Brutalize the Badgers!

I'm really hoping that Georgia is on the upswing of their pendulum of a season thus far and beat Tennessee this Saturday. They'll be playing on ABC while the Ducks and Badgers duke it out on NBC, Saturday afternoon. No Miami drama, time for Mario to emphasize physicality, while Clemson is at Pittsburgh and SMU is home for Boston College.

Saturday afternoon for you on the Left Coast which is the right coast for watching sports on TV. It will be dark at 6:30 in Madison, 7:30 on the Wrong Coast. (I have complained to my Congressman about Elder Abuse. He says he can't hear me that well and I should send him money for better hearing aids. 😁)

Frack Fickell!

No doubt it's better. The Championship game will be over at around 8:45 here, approaching midnight in the east. The famous "Heidi" game wouldn't have been a problem in the left coast. NFL games start at 10:00 AM & 1:00-1:25 in the west.

Tennessee doesn't seem to have the offensive firepower that Ole Miss does... Granted Ole Miss won that games against Georgia with a whole lot of defense but their offense put up enough points to win. Kiffin is still a strong offensive mind.

Does Tenn have the firepower to get enough points on the board or will it be a "rock fight" where Georgia probably has the edge. Georgia is a team that likes to keep things close and if it's close I give them the edge.
