Are Dan Lanning's Ducks "Keystone Species" of the BIG Ten Conference?

I would agree, his motivational talent is outstanding.  But I believe he has created a more complete team than the former Big Ten teams.  Oregon can compete well in the trenches and put up a stout defense. Oregon can play fast on offense - be explosive. But they can control the clock also.  The offense can do whatever is necessary to win.

The first thing I thought about when I saw the term "Keystone" were the Keystone Cops, not exactly the models for the No.1 team in the country. But as Lanning uses it, a great fit. Oregon faked out the whole B1G better than Dennis Dixon did that fine day back in 2007 against Michigan, by beating the Wolverines, the Buckeyes, Nittany Lions and any other team unfortunate to get in their way.

😁 Pennsylvania is The Keystone State. Using 'keystone' was not punting, but punning.

The Ducks went on to beat Penn State in Indianapolis, 35-28.

You'd think they would get the score right.

What do you expect from a writer who doesn't know the difference between a baseball bat and sledgehammer.

Also, it wasn't Dan that smashed the helmet, it was Wilson Love, strength and conditioning coach.
